Much as I hate to mention that 'r' word again, there must be something in it if Big Brother, the granddaddy of all reality shows, is ending, albeit in Australia.

Does this mean that reality TV as we know it will slowly be killed off by the recession? Or is it simply the natural progression for a show that served its purpose throughout the Noughties but whose format is now so tired as to be beaten to death?
