enjoy the break HD

Rex is my anti-hero now. Arrogant and sarcastic and not really giving a s@@@ about what happens. Not sure about the 'getting to know myself' stuff but at least he's liking himself a bit more now.

Belinda to go...

Yes, although I can see Rex's negative qualities, I can't say they particularly bother me compared to a lot of the others in there. Also, I take the opposite view to those who say he's nothing left to give, I think he's actually become much more entertaining since the newbies came in. But even if people don't agree with that, surely keeping him in as someone reasonably likely to nominate Rebecca and/or Luke instead of their new cronie Belinda is reason enough

Now this is where I have a huge massive problem with Rex...

Credit to him for highlighting his own arrogance but 'discovering himself'? What the hell is that about! He's spent his life attached to what I imagine is a large business, as the boss's son he must have reasonably high profile within it... and yet he only discovers who he is when thrown together with 15 strangers? Come on, I bet there have been many occasions when he's met 15 new people before, its not like he's from darkest East Anglia or some remote Northumbrian Moor.

I orginally had Rex down as a player (not the most competative but playing never the less) however now I really don't think he gives a damn about the show. I'm starting to think he genuinely doesn't want to be there, that he expected a month in the house, enough to raise his profile and now he wants out.

I don't see his character improving at all.... quite the reverse, I see him getting ever more miserable and dismissive of the entire enterprise.

I'm quite surprised Belinda is favourite to go I must say. I would be more likely to think that Rex would be the one evicted, because although Belinda Belinda Belinda is new and irritating, she hasn't been offensive to anyone, whereas Rex has all his restaurant talk against him, plus many other mean comments, and I think more of the public would be more bothered by that and more inclined to vote against him rather than actually going to the bother of nominating Belinda. I think Rex is an arsehole, but very entertaining with his horrible comments! So I'm gonna guess Rex will go, despite everyone else!

Excellent points, but a lot of general BB female viewers like Rex - & who are his 'hunky' competion? - Dale & Stuart?
Dullards to most females.

Rex has got a bit tiresome this week with his boasting talk about his 'restaurants', etc. - Sarah apart, this bragging has bored most housemates.
Yes, he may have worked hard to be a chef - & no doubt his ambition is to be a 'TV Chef', a la Ramsey, Oliver, etc.
But we know he wouldn't have achieved most of which he has on the outside world without his rich dad.
In addition, I think Rex protests too much about wanting to be evicted.

To be fair to Rex, he has been quite chilled out & reticent about being involved in conflict. His nominations have been pretty good.

However, he has been more arrogant & bitchy lately - even against his friend's Mohamed & Rachel - something Lisa has picked up on.

As for Belinda, it looks like she's going - her snoring & dreadful singing irritates the public as well as the housemates - but I did feel sorry for her when she knew she was up for eviction. She was devastated.
Belinda knows how to entertain her theatre mates but hasn't got a clue how to ingratiate herself with other people - ie on BB. :-?

Darnell has been impressive as head housemate.
Glad he didn't 'bottle' it & nominated Rebecca this week. His other decisions & socialising with other housemates on Hell as well as Heaven have also been impressive.
Mind you, there does seem to be a recent stew about lack of spuds on the Hell side.
However, if Darnell does pick up nominations next week against ANYBODY, he will be safe.

Lisa has been her usual impressive self this week - she took time out to console Belinda.
She was brilliant on the cycling task, also.

Dale has been far better without Jennifer, but Jennifer is Z-List obsessed & foundations for BB9's 'celebrity' couple have been laid when BB9 is finished.

Rachel is more vocal - but considered by housemates as someone who sits on the fence, carefully observing.

What he actually said, was that he had spent the last few years partying hard and so this was like rehab for him. He said he wanted to have time to think about what he actually wanted out of life. That is what he said at the auditions when they asked him why he wanted to do BB, but I think probably the real reason would be because he wants to be a Celebrity chef.

Possibly, if he ends up on hell side, but he has actually seemed happier since the newbies came in and Sara likes him a lot. According to her sister, he is exactly the type of bloke she likes going with (someone with lots of money).

DARNELL: REX IS PLAYING THE GIRLS

By Julia White for dailystar.co.uk

Darnell says Rex craves female attention.

During a conversation with Dale and Maysoon this afternoon, Head of the 'Big Brother' House Darnell claimed chef Rex pretends to be sensitive because he knows it will appeal to girls.

Talking about Rex' habit of chatting about his girlfriend, Darnell said: "He does it to get the girls interested."

Maysoon disagreed with Darnell, saying most girls would be put off a man if they knew he had a girlfriend.

However, both Dale and Darnell argued some men use tales of their relationship to attract women.

Darnell said: "The girls go, 'Oh, you're such a good boyfriend. I wish I had a boyfriend like you.' "

Dale laughed in agreement, then gave Darnell a high five.

Darnell commented: "That's why every girl that comes in here seems like they fancy him."
