Not much in the way of Blue skies this end though.

That's a shame larry, we've been having such a lovely week. I'm delighted it has been my week off!!!

The water was so clear

Gutted that tomorrow is the last day of the week off, it has been so good to get out and about in the sunshine for once rather than the cold!

Anyhow, today's destination. I actually took a picture of roughly where I took the picture of the winter scene on Christmas day 2006 that Larry kindly edited for me.

The weyeriana 'Sungold' Buddleia is covered in Bees this year.

Such fantastic colours and the bees are good.

I like this thread, it has a very soothing effect. Big thanks to Larry and Jezi, those pics are great. I wish I had my cam handy the other day, I saw two of the most beautiful goldfinches ever perched on the garden fence...I admit that it was the first 2 I had actually ever seen in real life, I had to use the internet to identify them because I was that ignorant to what the were.

The sunny weather has brought out the Butterflies





And an abundance of garden Spiders all over the place

The garden is covered with Tortoise-shell butterflies ! I haven't seen this number before. I guess the sunny weather of the last couple of days has caused a batch to hatch out.
Also saw the first Comma today.
So along with these are a mixture of Red Admirals ,Peacock Butterflies ,and different white winged ones.
