Teacher's away, so we can run amok in his thread...having debates, and all sorts!

I would hope the same Madeline, but I don't think it's likely to happen. Rex can be funny at times, and some viewers like his style.

Nicole whinged and moaned, but I think Rex dominates and bullies more. And although she was 'difficult' with him, he seemed desperate to control her...and even more insecure than she was. Given that he's 5 years older...in my opinion, he's worse than she is.

Because they do as they are told Calrissian. Just like they do on all the reality tv shows and even more disappointing is they also do as they are told in the general elections. :-(

Anyone who would have preferred to see the back of Lisa or Sara knew that their vote would make little difference, so why bother trotting off to line the pockets of Endemol?

Having said that, I've voted for a person whom I knew was about to be evicted, but whom I considered to be an 'inoffensive' individual, the type of HM who really didn't deserve to be booed, etc.

I wouldn't have done that for Nicole, because there was too much which was offensive about her, to my mind. Why would viewers spend their money to help out someone who has gone on and on about how the public 'don't like gehls', but yet doesn't seem to have realised that her tantrums-and-tiaras act would not endear her to many of the viewers?

I don't wish her any ill, heaven knows the girl has enough 'ill' in her life already.

I do hope she would have friends and family who would be able to advise her, and that she might have the wisdom to listen to their advice.

Indeed gg - it's not an easy thing for ex HMs sometimes. I would imagine that having been booted with an even higher percentage than Sezer - I'm led to believe the highest percentage in UKBB's history - it would take a bit of getting her head round.

Grace Dent's views from Week 10 gave me hope that there could be light at the end of the tunnel for young Nicole:

Quote:
With regards to Rex and Nicole, I don't see much long-term future. This won't be Rex's decision either. Well Rex, or as Nicole's friends will call him in five years: 'Oh, y'know, him!? That guy you went out with in 2008? Wotsit? The weird one? The one who didn't like you buying your own clothes? He stood next to you at parties growling at other men. Him! The one who used to grab you by the face and go 'You're so pretty! So pretty! Soooo pretty!' all day long?'

'Oh yeah, Rex' she'll groan, 'That was fun getting shot of him. He'd already told me two hundred times that he trusted no-one and I was his only true friend and his entire world pivoted around me being proud of him.' Don't worry Nicole, just change your number and tell him you've lost your phone. He'll understand that one. He loses one phone a week. He throws them in the bin.

However, by the next week, Grace was beginning to conclude that Rexole might be more permanent than she'd thought:

Quote:
An hour later the couple are cuddled up in bed again, Nicole cooing, 'Ooh Rex you're my best fwend!' and Rex cooing 'And you're my best friend too.' Then Nicole whispers, 'We haven't got any other friends have we?!'

'Ooh gosh! I wonder why that is?!' screams a nation of viewers, 'Quel grand mystere!? You'd think their diaries would be positively brimming with people needing their parties ruined by them turning up, dragging a stinky atmosphere, bickering by the sausage rolls, crying, then leaving in a minicab, slamming the front door off its hinges before heading home for angry sex.

In fact, what are you both doing for New Year?! Let's all get a cottage! This year's solid-gold Diary Room star, Mikey, put it so well this week. "I know they're a couple! Well, it's time they went and were a couple elsewhere!"

Because that's the bottom line really. Rex and Nicole are simply one of those annoying constantly arguing couples. They're having a whale of a time in their own way. On first seeing Nicole last week, I was sure they'd both be split up in a month, but now I'm not so sure. This tedious relationship has got legs. It'll run and run and run.

On one side there's Rex with his neediness and his constant drip-feed commentary about how selfish, stupid, flirtatious and annoying Nicole is, eroding her confidence to look elsewhere. On the other there's Nicole, spoilt and princess-like, lapping up Rex's mania. If Nicole split up with Rex, imagine how boring a normal plodding relationship would be?

Imagine Nicole with a chilled out boyfriend who let her go anywhere, wear anything and speak to anyone? After Rex that wouldn't feel like real love at all.

But yes, Eviction Prediction Game is great, thanks to Finchy. Hope he's enjoying himself while we're writing all over his thread.

I'm sure he's currently rolling around in the festival mud and wondering about the possibility of renaming himself 'Hippo Too' on his return ;)
