Lisa talks about her psychic ability and meeting Mario...

If you don't know how Mario and Lisa originally met, it was when Mario was selling a crystal ball on an Internet auction site and Lisa bought it from him - honestly!

And it just goes to prove Lisa's claims to be in touch with the other side are absolutely, ahem, true. Though if she guesses that Mario is about to pop the question, even Big Brother will be surprised...

"I'm sure sometimes I'm psychic and things like that," stated Lisa as she sat on her bed curling her eyelashes.

Rachel and Kathreya had been singing a few lines from Meatloaf's I'd Do Anything For Love and Lisa had picked up on it.

"Before I came in here, that song was played on the radio and I couldn't stop singing it," Lisa explained. "I love Meatloaf anyway. And then I turned on the telly and the song came on. And it's things like that. It's happened with a few songs."

"I think a lot of people are in touch with things like that," said Rachel kindly. "I just think some people are more in touch with it than others."

And strangely, a few minutes later, as the housemates were gathered on the sofas, Lisa began telling the group about how she met Mario - just as the man in question preparing himself to pop the question.

Mario Proposes To Lisa

The ex-housemate pops the question to his girl...

As the housemates sat in the Living Area, the shutter over the window facing the Garden slowly began to rise...

"Oh my god, there's a person out there!" shouted Rex excitedly, "Oh my god Mario's outside!"

Screams and laughs were all Lisa could manage as she shakily got to her feet to see for herself.

"Everyone be quiet, be quiet!" shouted Rex as the housemates got carried away by the excitement.

"Lisa!" shouted Mario from the Garden and as Lisa slowly approached the glass, Mario began to show a series of cards with some very special words on.

They read: Lisa... ...I am very sorry... ...to say you're single... ...no more... ...as I have spoken... ...to your Daddy... ...Therefore I would like to... ...Marry you?

And then their hands joined and they tenderly kissed. Well, as tender as it can be through plate glass...

"I love you babe," said Mario. "So, is it, or isn't it?"

But before Lisa could answer, Mario produced the ring...

"I love the shape," said Lisa, quite obviously in a complete daze. "Is this happening?" she mouthed to Mario through the glass.

"Yes it's real," he replied. "I said when we get engaged, I'd do something different."

And then the shutters began to descend. But hadn't Lisa forgotten something?

"Lisa," asked Rachel, "did you say 'yes' to him?"

And like an Olympic athlete, Lisa vaulted over to the window. "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes," she shouted, falling to her knees as the shutters descended. "I love you babe!"

Big Brother is positively welling up.

Rex's reaction was the most interesting. He went very quite and has a very curious look in his beedy eyes.

Rex looks bored with the engagement talk, Rachel tells Lisa how nice the proposal was. "You can't top that" she says to Lisa. "You said that about the letter from home" Rex says to Rachel. Mikey said BB keeps topping all the things they are doing.
Rex has such a look of envy on his face when he talks/insults Rachel. Imo, he envies her "normality" Rachel only needs her family/friends and a supply of grapes to keep her happy, whereas, for all his finacially secure life Rex needs drama, a bitchy girlfriend and other stimulations to get him through the day.

So happy too that Rex has taken it all so badly, lets hope he isn't invited to the wedding of the year. He missed Luke & Bex's, there won't be one for Dale & Jen and he chickened out of making Nicole an honest woman. Arghhh

I have to ask how romantic is it to demand a lot of money to propose to your girlfriend from a third party. If someone gave me cash to propose, Id do it twice weekly.

Nice to see Rachel being genuinely pleased for Lisa even thou they don’t get on. and typical of Rex to attack Rachel, the nasty tool needs to follow his own comment and not bully women. I know Rachel now doesn’t see him as a mate and says she doesn’t care about what he says but its not pretty to witness.

It was a lovely proposal and they all seemed really happy for Lisa - at least Lisa and Mario actually seem to have a strong relationship unlike Rex and Nicole

It mightn't have been terribly romantic of Mario to negotiate a fee for proposing - but it's jolly pragmatic of him.

If it was a 'out of the blue' thing, I'd say it was shoddy, but they are a long-time couple, and Lisa had made it clear she'd be very happy to be engaged to Mario.

If I was in her position, I'd be absolutely thrilled that my partner had proposed in that way! I'd much rather have value for money, than see cash being whittled away on exhoribant 'romantic' stuff.

But then, I'm not your average woman.

I think its wonderfully romantic... on national TV, what girl wouldn't love that?

As for the fee; given how much a good wedding costs these days I hope he extracted a huge sum of money from Endemol

Nah, I think it was cheesy contrived and mercenary. Another nail in the coffin of our matrimonial traditions.

And blatantly an external influence manipulation which could boost Lisa into the final week undeservedly IMO.

Mario has been milking the papers for all he can get this is just another money making scheme camouflaged under the pretence of love, very tacky.

AWWW That's so sweet, they really are a perfect couple! They are really such a good match!

Hi all!

Just popping in to catch up on the news. I am in a bad mood as I am now home with only one more day of holidays before returning to work. The longer you have off the worse it is... Think Sunday evenings times a thousand.

As for Mario and Lisa - well good luck to them. They seem suited, and my only concern is that it might keep Lisa in the house longer than she would otherwise have had. She does my head in a bit.

And I'm still finding Rex fascinating to watch, btw. But thank the lord that dreadful girlfriend has gone. What a nightmare she was!!
