Jade Goody told she has cancer live on Indian Big Brother

Reality TV star Jade Goody has cancer, her spokesman said today, and the news was broken to the 27-year-old mother of two while she was appearing in the Indian version of Big Brother.

The Sun reports Goody was called in to the Diary Room, where she spoke to her consultant in the UK by telephone. She then burst into tears and ran into the house in hysterics, telling housemates: "I have cancer".

She was immediately withdrawn from the show and is flying back home for treatment.

Jade: 'Cancer stunt' claims are 'sad'

Jade Goody has branded claims that her cancer scare is a publicity stunt, 'sad', after being told of her diagnosis on the Indian Big Brother show.

The reality star hit back through her publicist after she was forced to leave Bigg Boss in tears after a UK doctor told her by telephone in the diary room she had 'cancer in the neck of the womb'.

The mum-of-two is expected to board the earliest possible flight bound for Britain for an immediate consultation with doctors in Harlow, Essex, her spokesman Max Clifford said.

I wonder if she will still get the £100,000 they promised her to appear?

Viewers would miss Jade Goody

JADE GOODY might have won the hearts of Indians after the first episode of the second season of Bigg Boss that was aired on the new channel Colors. But it was detected that she is suffering from cervical cancer and so will have to leave the show in order to go for her treatment. Jade Goody had been lovingly called ‘Gudi’ by the rest of the inmates of the Bigg boss house.

Jade Goody is literally cancerous, lolz. That was a highly amusing video, and its just yet another part of the media-whore circus that is the Goody.

But then, didn't people realise her toxicity after the way she treated Sophie in BB3. Or the way she treated Rick Waller in 'back to reality', or the way she treated Shilpa in CBB?

Unlike many with such short term memories, or that pious-forgiveness crap, I for one am not going to sit on the fence with that woman. It great pleases me to see Karma biting her in the ass, or rather, somewhere near there.

We all get what we deserve, and its time missy realised that as well. The only question is whether she understands that before her time ends.

Shilpa: Pray for Jade

Shilpa Shetty has reportedly asked people to pray for Jade Goody following her cancer news.

The Bollywood star, who was at the centre of the Celebrity Big Brother racism row with Jade 18 months ago, apparently said she has spoken to the mother-of-two to lend her support.

Payal Rohatgi missing Jade

Payal was asked to partner the first international participant on the show, Jade Goody. She was given the task of teaching Jade how to speak Hindi. Payal had to be with Jade for the next 100 hours in the Bigg Boss 2 house.

That's harsh Cal.

No matter how cynical I might be about the timing of Jade's participation in the Indian BB or how distasteful I found some of her behaviour in past reality show efforts, and bearing in mind that I have quite a good memory, I still don't think she's unforgiveable.

I take exception to your derogatory inference to the word forgiveness. Yes in some cases people can "over-religify" forgiveness but I would like to think people could forgive me when I mess up, no matter how badly.

Is anything unforgiveable? Maybe if somebody murdered a member of my family or a close friend I would struggle - who knows? I admire those families who declare their forgiveness to murderers who have taken away somebody precious to them.

That ability in the face of enormous grief is utterly admirable, to me at least. Some people might find it weird or weak. I don't.

I also don't think we 'get what we deserve' and I don't believe in karma.

I know my outlook isn't like everybody's and I'm sorry if it looks as though this is a direct attack on you. It isn't - I think I'm maybe a bit sensitive to my own reaction to Jade's news, so this isn't an anti-Cal post in the slightest.

Jade does cause an opinion and yes, even offence. Then again, I think it's usually even more idiotic to take offence than to give it. Jade is not solely to blame for her 'career' and her lack of wisdom doesn't warrant payback with cancer.

We do crave the good v evil scenario and no doubt Shilpa will be slated too after her plea for prayers for Jade. Some will see that as cynical or patronising or pointless or fake. No matter what it is, it's caused a reaction from us hereabouts and that's ok.

I hope Jade gets better (in lots of ways). There are worse people around. But then again, who am I to judge if they are actually worse...
