A Cranefly / Daddy-long-legs.
Almost as close as the Macro would allow .Lens says 1.6ft / 49CM but I'm sure I was closer than that.

We have some good examples of the garden spider but getting them looking in my direction isn't that common but I will get one before long and hopefully in close-up.

My pleasure, but what you see here is just a fraction of what I take. To date I've taken over 6200 since August 2005 !

Post processing is either Paint Shop Pro Photo or if I'm using the ex-server it might even be Photoshop. Though the image that is displayed while installing PSP Ultimate Photo shows the Photoshop NEF tool that allows you to modify a raw image then either save it or work with it. Right now I can't see much difference between PSP Photo X2 and PSP Ultimate Photo X2. Think it's just some media features. I must find the plugin that allows you to remove the background of an image to lift objects. I think this is similar to the one in either Coreldraw or was it Illustrator ? I know one of them allows you to do this but PSP generally has always had the better user interface (and a smaller price tag).
