A TEAM of soap stars will take to the field today in a charity match against former footy stars.

Emmerdale FC will take on the All-Stars XI, which is made up of former professional players at 2pm this afternoon at the Mulgrave Community Sports Field in High Street, Lythe, Whitby.

The Emmerdale squad includes Big Brother 6 winner Anthony Hutton, and Shameless star Gerard Kearns.

Yes he is Christine, hopefully I will get to meet him.
Hopefully I will get to chat to Anthony, he has been in touch with me to confirm he is playing. So I will be able to get all the gossip on what he is up to

I had a great afternoon at the charity fooball match yesterday.
The two teams were Emmerdale All Star Xi and Red Carpet XI
Anthony was playing for the Red Carpet team, which also included Ziggy and Stuart from BB9.

It was a good match, very keenly contested, with Red Carpet winning 3 - 1.

There was a good turn out, and lots of money was raised for the charity DebRA.

I got to speak to Ziggy very briefly, and he seems a great guy.
All three BB lads were besieged by fans at the end of the game wanting pictures and autographs, so I had to wait over an hour to have a chat to Anthony.

He is doing fine, and his DJing is going well. In fact he has invited me to a gig he is doing next Tuesday at Walkabout in Bristol, it should be good, I'm really looking forward to it

Oh I didn't realise that Stuart was playing as well. Thank you very much indeed for the write up. It sounds as though it was good and the lads did well.
