Apprentice contestant Tre Azam claims witch hunt against him

TV Apprentice contestant Tre Azam claimed yesterday that a council inquiry into an alleged £7,500 benefit fraud was a witch hunt against him.
Azam, 29, who came third in Sir Alan Sugar's BBC reality show last year, is accused of three counts of housing benefit fraud.
If found guilty, he faces nine months in jail.
The trial in Chelmsford, Essex, was adjourned for 28 days. Speaking outside court, Azam said: "It feels like a witch hunt. I hoped to be cleared today."

Apprentice star made false claims

One of the stars of BBC show The Apprentice has been convicted of falsely claiming housing benefits.

Tre Azam, 29, of Loughton, Essex, who finished third in the 2007 series of Sir Alan Sugar's show, was sentenced to 80 hours' community service.
