THEY'VE been rubbished, dumped and binned! Africa has spoken, Tanzania's Latoya and Botswana's Tawana will spend the rest of the week in a makeshift 'rubbish dump' until BBA viewers decide which of the two should be evicted on Sunday - FOR REAL this time.
Supposedly anyway.
Is anyone sure with all these latest twists and turns? Of the three housemates up for eviction, I expected it to be Latoya and Tawana but eish, not in my wildest dreams did I imagine that Latoya would draw by far the most votes.
The Tanzanian got 10 of the 13 votes: Angola, Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Uganda and Zambia, wanted her out, and she also got the collective 13th vote of the rest of Africa.
Only South Africa, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe wanted Tawana to be given the boot.
There were no votes for Sheila.
What a difference a day and a rubbish dump makes.
A new, reborn Latoya is rising from the garbage of 'eviction'! She and Tawana are talking like words are going out of fashion - I mean, can you actually remember the two of them ever speaking to each other in the house? OK, I know they've got nobody else to talk to and not too much to do.
Still, they're not the most natural of companions.
Seems Latoya's also decided that her skills extend beyond ironing the sheets of her and Ricco's 'love bed', though she swore blind to Tawana that she and Ricco had not had sex.
Quite something to see the Tanzanian behind a broom instead of behind Ricco! Or lurking in his shadow, or being the bump in the duvet of life.
Yeah, Latoya got her Tant Sannie - Mrs Beeton, if you prefer - on and tackled cleaning up the rubbish with Tawana.
Now I just hope that our girl Lucille doesn't decide to cheeko up with Ricco.
Hey, I think the dude's fyn and fun and all; you know the type of guy designed to spice up any party.
But am I the only one who thinks "cabana boy" when I see him? Have to say Munya's still my main man.
He may not be a 'booty raider' like Ricco, but the dude's a cut above.
GOSSIP GIRLS Didn't take long for Tawana and Latoya to start dishing the dirt on some of the goings-on in the house.
Latoya told Tawana that Ricco "needs his sex" and had been champing at the bit over the lack of action.
Apparently that was the reason he deserted Latoya's bed on Saturday night and decided to try his luck elsewhere - according to La-Latoya, with her blessing.
As we know, he ended up in a communal bed in the lounge with Mimi and Lucille.
But no luck! Even though Mimi seems to have a thing for the Angolan.
Lucille? Who knows? Our girl has been all flirt and tease, but whether she's really interested in a house relationship is anyone's guess.
Latoya reckons there could be trouble on the horizon because "everybody in that bl*%$y house likes Lucille" - Thami, Ricco, Uti and Munya.
She punted a theory that with her - Latoya - out of the house all the pressure is now on Lu.
Still, she reckons that Lucille is "very, very smart" and is playing the guys like cards.
Not sure about that myself.
Maybe she's just overwhelmed by all the attention.
But agree with Latoya - also dubbed 'Toyota' by some in the blogosphere - that one wrong romantic move by Lucille could unleash a S.I.T.U.A.T.I.O.N.!! Eish!! To have to carry the hopes and fantasies of so many on your shoulders! Such slender shoulders too.
One of the most surprising revelations from Latoya was her take on Morris.
There was Tawana going all mushy over muscleman Morris - "aaaw Morris, he's such a good sweet person", only for Latoya to do a 'Kill Bill' on her.
"Morris is very violent."
The look on Tawana's face - priceless.
It was like a bomb had fallen on Botswana.
Latoya then told her how some "pent-up" tendencies had come to the fore in her very short encounters with Morris and that this was the reason she'd basically decided to give him a miss.
Seems that Latoya is not the only one to have noticed that there's more to Morris than meets the eye.
During general conversation in the house, Munya described the Ugandan as "a simmering dish".
One thing the 'rubbish girls' did agree on is that Mimi knows everything that goes on in the house and "is in everybody's business".
Going to be interesting to see how Tawana and Latoya hold up in 'solitary confinement'! * Check out all the action on DStv's Channel 198, the daily shows on Channel 102 at 20h00 and e-mail your thoughts, views and opinions to
