Yeah, that bit with the balls had me cracking up too. Almost seems a shame to fiddle with it, when it's fully in it's stride.
Yet, I did think that some of the features where getting a bit old, and so having new ideas may be good. I'm sure in a more zoo-format there will be more chatting about what they get up to in their lives, so if you feel you'll miss the insight of the reverse-charge game, there'll be more then enough chatter to make up for it.
anywhoo, more about mr berg here.
Interesting pic with the link?!!
RadioTodayIncidentally, or maybe not, the new Rajar quarterlys are out Thursday, from info on that site.......
We await to see what Kate & OJ Borg are like together??
Interestingly, Kate did say on the breakfast show a couple of weeks ago that she went on a date to Castle Donington, Derbyshire??
Tim Shaw does his thing as boss on Absolute Radio - but Kate has proven on Kerrang! Radio that she is a far better leader than a sidekick. In fact, Kate ain't no sidekick, ever.
Kate's Kerrang! Radio boss, Gordon Davidson, is right - Kate has found her natural home - not particularly on Drivetime - but on Kerrang! Radio. The whole z-list hype you see in The Daily Star & zelebrity magazines means nothing to Kate even though Kate could have made huge money. Kate could have made a fortune, lived very comfortably with all that - but she only validates herself in the mainstream media regarding a broadcasting career - hence the fact that she moved to Birmingham & sees little of her family whom she adores.
Still, Kate must be a joint leader on her new Drivetime show.
You
can be a leader & co-presenter on a radio & TV show, but you
can't be a leader & sidekick, something Tim Shaw's ego didn't understand.
Also, Kate's comments about taking a break from Kerrang! Radio in January 2008 to concentrate on her DJ career aren't quite clear yet.
Kate's career as a rising star on the House DJ scene is looking after itself.
Personally, as I've said before, Kate could possibly reach the top regarding her House DJ career, & that should be her priority, but to establish a career in mainstream radio(without z-list hype) has also been an ambition.
Kate spoke very excitedly this week about moving into her new Birmingham flat in two weeks time, so she obviously feels that Kerrang! Radio is her immediate future at least.
