Oh dear. :-? I wonder what would have happened if she had actually been voted off? I couldn't understand why she was in the bottom two. They said that the correct number was read out, but I always go by the written number rather than the spoken one.

I was surprised to see her in the bottom two as well. It will have knocked her confidence I'm sure. This seems to happen too much. I still haven't recovered from Leon winning last year. :-(

Very entertaining show last night. The standard is so high - a world away from when I used to be rooting for 'Journey South' (principally to annoy Blags ::lol:: ).

Amazing performances on the 'Big Band' show, last night. Personally, I don't understand why Eoghan is there - (even though he's from Ireland) - but the judges go wild about him. ${

Scott left last night - he and Daniel The Widowed Pool Cleaner were in the bottom two. I've enjoyed seeing Daniel stay in, much to the judges' bewilderment, but last night it was the choice of both Louis and Cheryl to save Daniel, because in the sing-off, he sang with such passion. Yes, he did, but there is some disquiet amongst fans that Daniel is still 'getting mileage out of his wife's sudden death, to stay in the show'.

I won't judge him about that - I can see his point; if last night was going to be his final time singing live, it made sense to dedicate the song to his wife, and to choose a song about losing a loved one. But you can't escape the fact that doing so did tug on our heartstrings - in that sense, Daniel had an advantage over Scott. :-?

All 12 finalists (sort of) got to sing (or mime, depending on who you believe) 'Hero', a single they are releasing to raise funds for the Help for Heroes forces charity, and the Poppy Day Appeal. The most notable thing about last night's performance of 'Hero' was the fact that 2 of the 12 acts didn't appear - not because they had turned into conscientious objectors - but because one of the doors on the set got stuck, and they didn't make it onto the stage!

But truly inspiring performances from Alexandra, Diana, Laura, Ruth and Rachel.

Nice work, ladies.

The standard was exceptionally high last night.

I don't mind that Scott went, because he would never have won anyway.

I noticed that Ruth was missing from the 'Heroes' song, but who else was missing?

Daniel.

The 'Over 25s' door got stuck, but Rachel ran around the side and made it on to the stage, or something. A good thing too, because she had an important solo bit. I think Laura 'did' Ruth's bit, in the performance.

It was a bit annoying when Austin cried and said ''I just sang that to my mum'' at the end of his song. Talk about last ditch attempt to win over the judges.

I used to have a hamster called Woody that died and I'm very sad. Can I win X Factor pease? :D

Yes, my thoughts exactly!

In Boot Camp, I did think that Austin could win it, but I don't think Simon is ever very good at choosing songs for his group, so whether that was Austin's downfall I don't know. However, there are some really good girls in it this year and he paled in comparison to them.

I thought that Diana was really good last night and also Alexandra.

It is strange how (if I recall correctly), the first 2 acts to sing, both this week and last week, were the ones in the bottom 2.

I would think there is a good chance of there being a female winner this year.
