Malawi’ s Hazel comes second in Big Brother Africa 3 The third edition of Big Brother Africa has ended, and 25-year-old Malawian Hazel Warren was amongst the two finalist in the last days of the show which Ricco walked away with the $100,000 prize. Hazel came in second.
Multichoice Malawi marketing manager Titania Katenga Kaunda hailed Hazel as a "role model" displaying a "Malawi manners," as viewers were shocked that she failed to win the prize money but delighted she pushed her chances to the wire.
As estimated 40 million television viewers across Africa watched the finals day of reality show.
Lilongwe based Warren was confined to a Big Brother house in South Africa with 11 contestants from other countries.
Their every move was captured by television cameras and each week the contestants voted to evict the housemates one by one.
Meanwhile, Mulitchoice Malawi has said it will hold a “special” welcome party for Hazel as she returns from the show after now attaining a high profile status of a celebrity.
