ISLINGTON'S answer to Leona Lewis had the X Factor from a very early age, according to her school singing teacher.

Alexandra Burke, 20, who grew up off Caledonian Road, Holloway, made it through to the final five of ITV talent search The X Factor with a stunning rendition of Take That's Relight My Fire.

Alexandra is, in my opinion, the best contestant in this year's X-Factor.

She has incredible talent, but what makes her stand out for me is her versatility.

Last night we witnessed a fine example of that - from 'Toxic' to 'Listen' - two completely different types of songs. She has a lightness of touch, and is able to do 'fun and frothy', but has depth, passion and power when that's needed. Her version of 'Listen' was astounding.

She is very very entertaining, and never seems to let herself down in any way.

That is all true, but if I was to hear her singing on the radio, it wouldn't stand out for me amongst all the other good singers out there. She would just sound the same as them, whereas Diana really stands out as being different from the others and I could listen to her voice all day! I would definitely buy a CD by Diana but I wouldn't by Alex.

The other thing I don't like about Alex, is that she seems to be a bit of a creep. Every artist who has visited, she has just 'happened' to be their number 1 fan. She obviously says that so that they say good things about her. She also seems to creep round Simon.
