Karen Matthews, 33, was also convicted of false imprisonment and perverting the course of justice.

Her co-defendant Michael Donovan, 40, was found guilty of the same offences. Donovan was known to Shannon as Uncle Mickey.

Costing £3.2m, the hunt involved more than 300 police officers and three quarters of the UK's specially-trained police dogs.
