There can only be one winner - and it has to be David Van Day, imo.
He went into the Jungle to raise his profile just like all the other contestants, he reacted to the hostility from Nicola because she saw camera time going to him and Timmy. Joe knew this to be true about her and a few others in the camp that is why he spoke up about it.

I don't believe for one minute the spin Nicola put on DVD's suggestion that they should start flirting and acting like they were becoming a couple, she should be so lucky. He did say to her that they should pretend to flirt to shock Joe and for a reaction from the others because it would liven up the camp, he knows how to play the game. But what he did not mean when he said that to her, as she has implied, was because he wanted to make Joe look foolish for standing up to him. As far as I could see DVD thought he had become part of the camp and was only trying to muster up entertainment for the viewers.
Nicola on the other hand used his suggestion to try and make Joe, and the rest of the camp, turn on him because she knew Joe was not happy the way she had/was behaving.
The final straw for me was when they did not share the measly Brownie with him. DVD has shown them all up for the bad game players they are.
ITV and GMTV are pushing for Joe to win, why I do not know, I hope the viewers do not buy into their propaganda.

Joe has been funny, kind, and entertaining from the start.

He was popular with the people who'd been in the Home Camp, and then with the 'original bunch', but he said he hated cliques (as do I), and he went out of his way to include Timmy and DVD. He flew the flag for the obnoxious and vain DVD, until he was told that DVD had a 'plan'. Nothing really wrong with game plans - but DVD's behaviour made things very unpleasant for the others, and he didn't reward Joe for his decency and loyalty.

Nasty piece of work, DVD - although he has lovely daughters, and I feel sorry for them, seeing how he's behaved.

Fair play to Simon, for saying that 'probably underneath it all, David's a nice guy'.

Nicola's not the type of person I'd relish being stuck in the jungle with, usually - I find her a bit too 'direct' - but she was way way better than DVD.

Joe has made me laugh and smile, not cringe.

I've really liked him, never disliked him at all.

Sounds like you want DVD to win in order to teach Nicola a lesson, Madeline.

I want Joe to win because I think he's been lovely.

I don't think Joe as been as funny or as entertaining as DVD. and for Joe to believe what Nicola said about a plan DVD thought up...
DVD also acknowledged that Joe stood up for him and when Timmy left and it was decided they would all start anew DVD stopped winding Nicola up but tried to keep a sense of fun in the camp but she used his suggestion to get Joe back on her side because I believe Joe's temper gave her cause for concern.

DVD tried to ingratiate himself into the group and was/is unaware about the lie the two-faced Nicola has planted in Joe's head.
As you said DVD has two lovely daughters, he must be doing something right.
Nicola sure is direct but like a lot of direct people she doesn't like it when people are direct back at her.
Nicola getting voted out of the jungle before DVD was good enough for me gg, and from the interviews i have seen her do since she left it looks like she has not learned her lesson because she is now slagging Joe off and has said she is going to have a word with Ester over comments she made about her.
So all in all it would appear more people saw her for what she is and got rid of her and they have kept DVD in because he is entertaining them, and me, that is the reason I think he should win, not because I like him.
