Anyone watch it last night?
What did you all think?
I personally feel sorry for the guy.... he is messed up...he's never lived in the real world and seems to have created this parallel childhood for himself. I know he's very odd, but considering the kind of life he's had, it's hardly surprising that he wants to act like a child. While I and probably most people would think it odd to want to share a bedroom or bed with a child, I'm sure he DOES sort of have the mind of say an 8 year old, and therefore doesn't comprehend why people should think his behaviour is strange.
I feel very sorry for his children too, as they will never have a normal life, but then again, it's all they know so maybe they will be happy.
I'm glad he has many nannies and carers for his kids, as someone who has the mentality of an 8 year old, isn't responsible enough to bring up kids alone!
As for the plastic surgery thing....no doubt he's had nose jobs...I'm sure he has had other stuff too, and wonder why he lied (if he did) about not having anything else done????
First of all I was thinking ''wow what a freak'' but then if you just try to imagine living in isolation like he has, and the abuse he suffered in that isolation as a child, and how he has had to live day in day out how he does, then surely the man cannot be in touch with reality.
I think (not certainly sure though) that he doesn't sexually abuse children, like I said before, he's not in touch with reality and while he thinks of his relationships with kids innocent, he just can't see why others would think it unappropriate.
I know if for instance one of my children had friends over and they wanted me to sleep in their room with them, while I would think it odd,(and would much rather sleep alone!) I wouldn't worry about ''oh I better not incase I feel horny!'' I would certainly worry what other people would think though cos of the world we live in, which I suppose is his point.
Maybe I'm wrong, maybe he is some kind of pervert, but I really don't think he is, but without a doubt he is wacko!

Pretty much agree with you HD ... We watched it and Paul said to me "I see his point, what is wrong with sharing a bed with a child IF you have no wierd intentions??" In all fairness I COULD NOT come up with a reason other than "It's just NOT right"...why on earth does a 12 year old boy WANT to be sharing his bed with a 44 year old man? The way that lad (geoff?) was holding hands with michael and leaning on him sent shivers down my spine....how many 12 year old lads do that with their own fathers? NONE I know thats for sure so why on earth be doing it with him??

It didnt seem as if he has his OWN children sleep in his bed, although this issue was not touched on there is nothing more natural than that but he doesnt seem interested in them enough to do that (but then again what are the chances of a black guy having 3 kids all of whom have milky white skin????)...which offers the question "are they his anyway???"

How would you feel about your kids sleeping in someone elses bed - famous or not - accused of sexual abuse or not...I wouldnt have my nephews share a bed with me and paul and we're their auntie and uncle!!!

I felt incredibly sorry for him, we've known for years about his AWFUL childhood and he is still a child but someone with phycological problems this bad should not be allowed to be around influential children alone.

The documntary was very well made, after all we saw Neverland (how many of us wanna live there now?) and we saw MJ getting emotional and we felt sorry for him, we even started to like him...THEN BOOM...QUOTE "I felt uneasy about the fact while I was at neverland I met a friend of michaels a 12 year old boy who shares his bedroom"... And we'd been leading up to this fr the whole program!!!!

Also another thought...if my kids (if i had any) were sexually abused by someone NO amount of money would make me drop charges I'd want to see the ******* strung up .... which again makes you wonder if it ever happened and the kids family were after the money all along, then again people are led by different things and money certainly talks (or stops it)

I agree with everything you've said so can't add much more. However, he did say that he DIDN'T sleep in the bed with the kids that stay over. I totally agree with you Jo, if I thought my kids had been abused I would never drop the charges. My views on the lad holding his hand and leaning on him are very cynical. If MJ wants "a son" then wouldn't you want fulfil that role? I mean he's loaded!

Yes, I aggree, if I thought ANYBODY had abused my kids, I wouldn't care how powerful they were, I wouldn't put a price on my kids...I wouldn't stop shouting about it from the rooftops until something was done. So that's why I am in doubt about the sexual abuse allegations that came out before, but on the other hand, I wouldn't want to be falsely accused either, but then MJ is a very rich and odd man....maybe he just thought he could either have this big legal thing drawn out or he could just chuck money at it and it will be gone. ${
He's definitely a puzzling person. And in no doubt he is 'not right'.
The bit that made me wince the most was when he was feeding his blanket(!)....I'm surprised the baby didn't puke all over him he was shaking so much.
I wouldn't feel at all easy if my 12 year old WANTED to share a bed with a grown man, but I must say, if my kid was staying at a relative or friend's house (I would have to know them well of course) and had a nightmare or was very ill or something, and really wanted to sleep in a bed with an adult, I would be grateful if the adult let them, but would be worried about my kids' nocturnal insecurity above anthing else but it's never happened!
I remember this man at work once saying he never bathed his 4 year old daughter because he didn't feel right about it...we ended up having an arguement as Paul would wash my daughter's hair in the bath at that age if I was working nights, only for this bloke to imply I should be worried :8o: ...I would feel more worried if Paul refused on those grounds. And what about single parent fathers? Is a 4 year old girl really expected to wash her own hair? And is it okay for a mother to bath her 4 year old son? (sorry I know I'm straying from the point)!

PS....I wanna live in Neverland!

I'm still not quite sure what to make of him to be honest.
Sometimes I thought he came across as a very sweet, genuine guy, but at others, he appeared really creepy, and a sandwich short of a picnic! (and a cake, and a hamper, and a packet of crisps etc etc)

It was certainly an interesting programme though. 14 million people obviously thought the same!

How he could say he had only had plastic surgery twice, and then only on his nose is beyond me. This being the case it brings into question everything else he said. Also putting it all down to having spots as a teenager .... my 15 year old daughter's face is full of spots at the moment is she going to do the same?

To be sure he isn't a 'normal' person and never will be. He is naive in the extreme to think to share a bedroom with an adolescent boy will be seen by everybody as an innocent thing.

To feed his child with a veil over it's face - its bizarre. At that age one child looks much the same as another, the child itself would not be recognised by the public at large.

All in all i feel pity for him and sorry for his children.

EXACTLY!! He lied (rather convincingly too) about lots of things - (being in a relationship with Blanket's mother and the plastic surgery being the 2 things that really stood out) If he lied about these - was he lying about other things???

BTW - The guy doing the interview thought him calling the child "Blanket" was odd....I really hope he never meets my family...

A list of our nicknames for each other - Obo, Jobber, Boy, Rin, Chi, Bop, Pick, Dude, Monkey Boy, Monkey Girl, Rukes, Rebukes, Ar, Carrot, Krat, Mare, Giff...

And thats just a couple of them!!!

I have to say I feel for him in the fact that he never had a childhood and is trying to recapture that innocents and magic now, in his adult life. But is he doing this at the expence of those children he is so passionatly loving?

I agree with one thing I read which was, if he was a woman would there be this much fuss??

MJ has never had to live in the real world, or the society that we all know. So how can we judge his ways, we cant begin to understand them.

What I would say I found very disturbing is the way he treats his own children, and the blatent self denial about how he treats himself.

I can empathise with the mask wearing to protect his kids, but in the end these small humans are going to grow up and wont have the life skills to get them through life, very worried that Prince is having his hair bleached!

As far as MJ goes, I belive he is looking for love constantly, and approval.

Unfortunatly, he has no real way of getting this naturaly as HE has no life skills.

Money can buy a lot MJ but not happiness.

I aggree with everything you said JB.

Also would like to point out, that either his kids are not his, or they are having their hair straightened too!
I believe it's possible for them to be the colour they are, but the hair didn't seem to have one bit of frizz! ${

I think it would be geneticaly impossible for them to be blonde, but not for them to have straight hair...not certian.

Oh no I do aggree it's been dyed...just think it must have been straightened. Was just saying it is genetically possible for them to be blonde, but his hair was definitely dyed.
