Watching Grange Hill series 2 !
Grange Hill started the year before I started secondary school (1977) so this is bringing back memories. And I still recognize most of the characters.

Right now thinking that I am no better at doing work than I was when I was 8 ::lol:: I am doing a task... did all the easy bits first, finished all the do-able with more effort bits and now have all the hard bits left  :-(

RN wondering how long the SETI servers are going remain Max'd out ?!
They have been showing 92Mbits outgoing for a day now with almost nothing incoming. This means it's almost impossible to upload completed work units so it looks like no work is being done. And because of this you can't download more work.

I have a few days worth of work so it's not so bad but those running the default settings could very soon run out.

Will just have to wait and see what happens Monday / Tuesday when they return as they have the weekend off.

Haven't been in a while ,I really must make the effort. Haven't even been to the roller rink in ages.
Just need to get back into the routine that I had before the accident last year and I won't want to stop again. Once the confidence returns I should stop thinking about falling ,which I've never learnt to do correctly hence the wrist and finger injuries .Still I do have wrist guards which'll help though they would look out of place at the ice rink.

RN still waiting for SETI to sort their network problem. Have 43 work units completed and one computer will be without work by tonight.

Also just copying last night's Dancing on Ice to DVD as I missed it live and had to record the replay on ITV2 in the early hours.

Right now thinking I really need to get new glasses sorted out after my ones came to a sad end ( ::lol:: )the other week. It is funny, I only ever wore them now and then for part of the evening for a month or so and didn't even feel the need to use them but I am going through one of those phases where it hurts not to... :-(

I have the latest and last computer in my science array on test running the Milkyway project.

This one runs a Biostar G31-M7TE Motherboard and an Intel E5200 Dual-Core 2.5GHz (running over-clocked at 3.01GHz). With 2GB of 800MHz RAM (package off eBay of Motherboard ,CPU , and RAM) and a 500GB SATA2 hard drive. It's in an identical 42 Litre case as the server which came with an 850W power supply (great bargain off eBay).
Case currently runs the stock front fan ,plus a 76CFM blowing in at the side and an 87CFM extracting at the rear. I'll be a bit happier when I'm able to upgrade the fans and replace the CPU cooler with something a bit more extreme but finances don't allow at present but so far the temperatures are very acceptable.

3.01GHz is a far as I'm prepared to push things without better cooling.
Current benchmark figures per CPU are

3185 Floating point MIPS (Whetstone)
6413 Integer MIPS (Dhrystone)

(MIPS - Million Instructions Per Second).

According to one Over-Clocking forum this processor will run stable at 3.5GHz though whether it would survive the environment doing the science work where it'll runs close to 100% all the time is another matter.

So far the only glitch has been the on-board Network adapter which dies under use after about 15 minutes but I've fitted a second PCI card from an old computer and it now been running for about 17 hrs with out problems.

The computer will soon be moved to it final position where it'll get a good supply of cool air.

Right now wondering what is up with my phone after I received 37 texts in the space of 5 mins this afternoon which are from Monday evening til today  I just about collapsed when I looked at my phone, it is odd because I have been receiving messages just not all of them clearly! Maybe has something to do with why I have been getting vocemails but no missed calls showing up. . . !

Very strange ! I've heard of two networks where the texts can take a couple of days to appear between them but not to that level.

RN Noticed that my ranking scores are dramitcally improving for the projects in my sig.
The percentages are how much more work your doing than others based on the Recent Average Score (RAC). The Milkyway RAC is way low compared to the real figure as I'm getting about 1500 credits a day on the new computer.

I get the feeling it may well happen again soon ${ I get texts all the time about work/theatre group stuff (and from friends!) but have hardly had any the last few days... so either people haven't been sending them or there is a pile of stuff I should've done but haven't, joy!!! I am expecting the latter.

Right now procrastinating from revising for my first written exam since I left school nearly three years ago  At uni it has always been assessments or hand in essays (hmm well other than 2 multi choice exams in 1st year!) so this is a bit of a thought. I'm not good at writing quickly!

Did you swallow a dictionary whilst revising Jezi? ;) Good luck with that anyway.

Right now, eating a very late lunch.
