Jade: Bride To Be and Jade's Wedding
The two part wedding special, Jade: Bride to Be (Wednesday 11th March at 9pm) and Jade’s Wedding (Thursday 12th March at 8pm), follows Jade as she plans her fairytale wedding day.

In the first of the two programmes, Jade: Bride to Be, the cameras capture Jade’s friends and family as they help her meticulously take care of everything from choosing her dream dress and picking out the beautiful bouquets to making sure Bobby and Freddie are the perfect page boys.

Despite her illness, Jade’s resilience shines through as she meets with Bishop Jonathan Blake to discuss the ceremony and partakes in a typically girly hen night with her loyal bridesmaids at home. In addition, the episode also follows the groom as he and his friends try on their wedding suits and indulge in a stag do, and our cameras accompany her devoted mum Jackiey to Harrods to pick out the perfect outfit for a mother of the bride. From a group tooth whitening session with her bridesmaids to a private helicopter transfer from her house to the hotel, Jade lets nothing get in the way of her big day.

Jade and Jack originally planned to tie the knot in Jade’s garden – they even put up the marquee - but as the terms of Jack’s curfew were relaxed by Justice Secretary Jack Straw for their wedding day, the happy couple were able to hold their big day at the stunning 16th Century Down Hall Country House in Hertfordshire.

Episode two, Jade’s Wedding, follows the beautiful bride on her special day as she walks down the aisle with her devoted fiancé Jack.

The cameras follow Jade as she, despite being in crippling pain, walks down the aisle with her grandfather John Caddock to the emotive sounds of Canon in D by Pachelbel. In addition, the programme also includes the moving ceremony from start to finish including the signing of the register by the new Mr and Mrs Tweed.

The episode also features an interview with Bishop Jonathan Blake who crafted their vows especially, Jade and Jack’s poignant first dance to Aerosmith’s classic ‘Don’t Want To Miss A Thing,’ and release of ten white doves alongside a show-stopping fireworks display to celebrate their union.

Didn't intend to & have refused to watch this mawkish saga on Living TV but did tune into the wedding ceremony.
It was incredibly moving, no doubt about that.
But that's what all this is all about - 'celebrity' promotion.
Davina McCall obviously ran a mile.

I'm glad that Jade Goody had at least one happy day.

Max Clifford says in The Daily Star today that Jade Goody was really pleased that the wedding programme got massive ratings, about 2million, the biggest in Living's history. The 'Dianafication' is happening.

For God's sake - as if that matters.

That girl, Jade Goody, is absolutely petrified about what's happening to her - you can see it in her face - but there was no-one to pull her away when she was diagnosed with cancer.

The Daily Star report an interview with Davina McCall on Absolute Radio's Breakfast show yesterday before her stomach-churning, self-obsessed & dreadfully unfunny appearance on Comic Relief last night.

In it, Davina states the usual platitudes about what's happening to Jade Goody but says she doesn't really know her??, has only spoken to her a few times since BB3. Er, they had the same agent for for nearly five years.
What an indication of the dreadful hype of BB since BB3 where the likes of Davina McCall prospered financially & gained 'A-list' friends due to the tedious hype of BB, though got no real career.

And now, the last days of Jade Goody played out in the tabloids, tabloid television & those awful 'celebrity' magazines.

Jade Goody's wedding viewed by record 1.1m

Living's two-hour coverage of Jade Goody's wedding gained a total audience of 1.1m (5.2% share) last night, making it the channel's most watched programme ever.
Jade's Wedding averaged 769,000 (3.5%) from 8pm on Living, but gained a strong audience on its timeshifted option an hour later when 367,000 (1.9%) tuned in. The Living +1 viewers pushed the programme over the million mark.

The show was up by an incredible 406% on the channel's slot average for last year of 152,000 (0.8%). It was a big draw for women and a big hit with both upmarket and younger viewers. Of those watching the show, 39.7% were ABC1s, 38.2% were aged between 16 and 34 and 72% of the audience were women.

Living's coverage of the trials and tribulations of the former Big Brother star have been a big hit for the entertainment channel.

Thanks Jim for the real viewing figures - not that it matters at all to what's happening to that poor girl.

It's an horrific thought but there are people out there in the media thinking about what they can do 'media-wise' for their particular organisations regarding Jade Goody's tragic situation.

I feel so sorry for her panicking - she must be so scared. :-(
Let us all continue to pray for her, she is only doing something we will all be doing one day.
