Thousands flock to new BB auditions Twin glamour models, Batman and Robin and a man dressed as an angel calling himself Johnny Quiz - it could only be the latest Big Brother auditions.
More than 1,500 hopefuls for the reality TV show gathered at London's Excel centre in a bid to persuade producers that they should take part in the tenth series.
The crowds included the Kit and Kat Twins, Noor and Zayna Ellemore, 22, from Sunderland, who have been described as glamour models and pornography stars in their local newspapers.
A spokesman for television company Endemol, which makes Big Brother, said: "We had everybody from people in their sixties and seventies through to teenagers, people from all over the world - we've had a complete cross-section."
The wannabes go through a rigorous screening process with workshops, two application forms and a video interview, and can be rejected at any stage.
Endemol's spokesman added: "There's never a 'type' that they are looking for. The main thing is they are looking for someone who can sustain interest for viewers for 12 weeks. People who have the personality, who you're not going to tire of. That doesn't mean they're loud, and it doesn't mean they're quiet."
For the first time contestants were also given the chance of uploading their audition video to YouTube, rather than appearing in person.
The production company said "many thousands" of hopefuls have submitted films.
It said slightly more people have tried to enter this year, perhaps because the celebrity version of the series was broadcast recently.
Live auditions have already been held in Edinburgh, Cardiff, Birmingham, Dublin and Newcastle.
