Jade 'too ill' for Shilpa visitJade Goody is too ill for a visit from her former Celebrity Big Brother housemate Shilpa Shetty, her friend and publicist Max Clifford said.
Goody learned of her cancer while starring on India's version of Big Brother which Shetty hosted.
The pair first met on Celebrity Big Brother in 2007 when Goody was plunged into a race row over the treatment of the Indian contestant.
The pair have since made their peace and Shetty was invited to Goody's wedding but was unable to attend due to filming commitments.
It had been hoped the 33-year-old Bollywood actress might be able to say farewell to her terminally ill friend during a visit to Britain this week.
But Mr Clifford said Shetty would not be paying a visit to Goody as she was too sick.
He said: "She is not well. Shilpa totally understands that."
The cancer-stricken star deteriorated over the weekend and her condition remains unchanged.
Goody's family have been readying themselves for the end.
"She has put her house in order and faced up to everything in an incredibly brave way," Mr Clifford said previously.
