Take two...!

(Apologies if this first bit is a bit confusing, it is my fault as I don't really understand this stuff... sack the summariser!) Thinking about his investments and speaks about how he had been speaking about the National Savings and Investments ERNIE scheme just a couple of weeks ago. They have been announcing that the interest on their pay-outs on premium bonds is dropping from 1.8% to 1% and they are getting rid of one of the monthly £1 million prizes to make smaller prizes of £25 - there has been quite a lot of uproar about this. He has been comparing his investments and has won quite a lot from the premium bonds this year, he says that although he has won more than 12 times, if he had won the minimum prize of £50 each month of the year he would've made £600 tax free. However his ISA investment has dropped a third in value over the same time frame, it is coming up to the time to top these up and he is thinking about it carefully.

Paying tribute to Jade Goody saying having met her she truly was a happy, bubbly, what you see is what you get character who will be missed by many.

Raging about his new phone coming without a cable to transfer the numbers from his old one to it and being informed he'll have to pay £17 for it as the phone doesn't come with one.

Getting the chance to catch up with Cherise from BB Africa for the first time in a while... it has been so long she has got married in the mean time to a businessman from Herefordshire!

Eva Longoria Parker from Desperate Housewives being given the title of sexiest woman on US TV.

I got an email the other day telling me that Jon Tickle is to be married to a lass called Tess. *

I didn't even get the joke. :-?

*It IS a joke by the way, no news of Jon getting married or not getting married should be taken from this post*

Well you should never let the truth get in the way of a good story after all, eh Cameron.

The main bit is about the change into springtime and loving this time of year with more daylight, calving & lambing, tractors, buds appearing etc. He says he remembers hearing about an organisation during the way, possibly the SWRI, and how they planted bulbs along the highways etc to lift the spirit (possibly) during the war. He asks if anyone knows anything about it. Thinks it would be a good idea to brighten up folks' days in this financial climate.

How he's spoken out about harsh TV judges and the like before but mentions Theo Paphitis from Dragon's Den still being funny but a bit softer when he says "nobody specifically wants to crush people's hopes and dreams, but some need their hopes crushed!".

Jennifer Aniston winning a poll for "Hollywood's hottest" - Megan Fox came second and Gisele Bunchen came third.

A school in Aberdeenshire's headteacher making the decision to ban real eggs at Easter as two of the kids are allergic to them.

Following on from the talk of investments last week and moving onto how personalised car reg plates can actually be a good one - for example the one he bought two years ago is now worth 40% more than he paid for it.

I have come to dislike Spring (well the end of it), but only because when the pollen season starts, I get non stop asthma for weeks on end, which is very energy draining and depressing. I am dreading it!!

Know what you mean Christine - it is always a "fun" wait to see what like the hayfever will be this year. Though I definitely love this time of year, fields full of lambs @^@ Too cute! It was a beautiful day here today, quite a contrast to the snow on Saturday.

Yes I love to watch the birds building their nests and seeing the new little baby birds appear. There was a tiny white eggshell in our garden, which looked as though a bird had hatched and the shell had been discarded. It was very small, so I reckon it belonged to a house sparrow.

Main bit is about one of those phonecalls you get from people trying to sell you stuff/change to their company - this particular one being about changing to a different phone company for calls, broadband etc. He listened to all that the guy said but it was only at the end when he asked how much he would save was he asked how much he spent on his current provider... when he told the guy his response was "oh. That's the same as our cheapest offer - not much point changing to us then." and they both started laughing about it.

How there is usually a 500MW power surge after Eastenders finishes, which is apparently with all the kettles being switched on. After an hour long special this week there was a 1270MW surge.

BBC being fined £150k for way they handled the carry-on with Jonathan Ross/Russell Brand and Andrew Sachs - what they saved in wages for Ross being suspended for 12 weeks more than paid the fine.

Britain's biggest car magazines joining together to demand that the UK puts in a scrapping incentive like France and Germany to try and help the motor trade in that if people agreed to scrap cars that were more than 9 years they would get £2,000 towards the cost of their next vehicle. With his love of classic cars he's a bit weary and hopes people don't get too "scrap-happy".

Folk being furious that despite Aberdeen City Council's massive budget cuts, they have spent £350k putting up new electronic road signs on the outskirts and although these must come from a different budget to that of the social services it would be a good opportunity for ACC to explain the way they spend.

Saying that he can be very talkative although people may not believe it yet says he can't stand unnecessary noise from TVs or from people who can't shut up. Speaks about "social networking websites" and the benefits of them for catching up with long lost friends, seeing folks' news and pictures etc - however he is moaning about the "status updates" and "people who display their every flirt and snuggle with their loved ones" (what do you mean by that? maybe i've just switched off to it!) and is trying to work out how to delete them.

Kanye West having a good few days with signing a fragrance deal, planning a new energy drink and the new trainers he's designed for Nike selling very well - a snip at "just" £1,100 online if you're interested!

Having "simple" tastes in films - saying that as you can't go wrong with fast cars and women, the new Fast and Furious one looks set to be good.

Having some people doubting what he reported about the value of personalised number plates last week and then getting the report about the return of them in last Friday as if by coincidence. Mentions VIP 1 which was sold for £62,000 in June 2004 and then £200k just a year later - a rise of 135%. The best recently being MAC 4W which sold for £810 in October '08 and then again for £4,250 just a month later which is a rise of over 400% in four weeks!

A friend of his having fancy new glasses that only cost her £7.95 for 3 pairs - another of his friends buys the glasses like these then gives them away to charity when she gets bored as the poor need 200 million pairs of glasses every year.

Aye right! By the time I pass my test (in 2015 or something likely!) I think I will be more concerned about my sense of direction (and you know what that can be like...) and having money to buy a car itself, insurance and everything else to have time to think about personalised number plates lol. Maybe one day!!

You could've said I missed a bit oot, just counted there and realised there wasn't the right number. Edited!
