That is not lucky. Well Thurs night I was on the beach til half 11, half 12 on Friday (although the weather was a bit cloudier on Friday), out last night where much of it was spent outside and then tonight at the beach as well so that says what the NE's weather has been like. Fit rare!!!

Hope yours gets better soon ()^

It was indeed. I was shocked it was longer than last years as that felt it went on for ever but that was only 9-7. That was probably with the rain though

I remember watching last year's final (well, the end of it) at my gran's house with half my extended family and my aunt who did not have a clue about the scoring of tennis kept asking every 3 seconds what was happening now. I thought the male members of the family were going to hit the roof any second ::lol::

Did anyone watch Torchwood last night? I was really upset that now that it's on BBC1 it's gone down to a five parter and not a proper 13 episode series. I was also worried it would be "watered down". But I really enjoyed the first episode! Can't wait for tonight to see what happens next.

Yes, John Barrowman is still in it. Is that good or bad for you? I love him, personally - though he can be a bit OTT, lol.

Yay, you like him too, Jezi! He ended up last night with a bomb going off in his stomach, and he may be looking a bit charred tonight. But John would never have agreed to them making him look rough for a whole episode, so normal beauty should be restored before too long!! {@} :D

I don't think him looking a wee bit rough round the edges would necessarily be a bad thing ;)

Me me me - I did ::lol::

Been waiting for this for a while. Great upset in this house as I've said I'm watching it and there are two women in this house that wanted their usual CSI and stuff on - I have made them record those programmes to wtach later, it's MY telly! Worse still, BB HL show is straight after... ::lol::

Glad there's another fan of Torchwood here! I love the show, and last night was full of excitement. I've never watched CSI - is it any good? Obviously NOT as good as Torchwood... ()^

I wouldn't even start with CSI - it's an American series, or rather a trio of series, that follows crime scene investigators as they investigate murder after murder...

Each series is based on a location, Miami, Los Angeles and New York I think. They have their own teams but there have been some crossovers with visits to another location.

One of the shows is on season 9 now, the other two on season 7 - so if you did start to watch, you've a lot of catching up to do!

The plot is the same in every episode, it usually starts with a scene where someone is bumped off in the first 5 minutes, the CSI's get there, pick up lots of clues, loads of fancy camera and graphic work as you zoom in on a bullet being shot and so on.

They always investigate loads of suspects and you're left wondering whodunnit right up to the end, when the twist is revealed.

CSI never appealed to me - and there are too many versions of it for starters. I hate those shows that are completely formulaic, so I will probably not bother with any version of CSI, lol.

The one I DO want to get into is The Wire - my brothers loved it, and are nearly at the end of the last season.
