DAY 39
9.29am:
As all the Housemates sleep, Big Brother calls Siavash and Dogface to the Diary Room, waking them up.
In the Diary Room Siavash and Dogface are informed that their punishment for discussing nominations earlier in the week will be that they are not allowed to swear until 3pm. Big Brother clarifies the words that they are unable to use and that if they say any of them upon leaving the Diary Room, they will face the public vote. They are also told they must not tell any other Housemates about the punishment.
Siavash reacts 'I can't f**king do this…this is bullshit' and suggests to Dogface that they don't talk and just sit quietly.
9.48am:
Some of the Housemates are in the Kitchen talking about Siavash and Dogface. Charlie and Lisa are speculating about what is going on with Siavash and Dogface. Charlie reveals that Siavash spoke earlier when he walked in on him on the toilet and Lisa suggests that might mean Siavash has failed the task. Charlie takes some cereal to Dogface in the sitting room and then returns to the Kitchen. Upon his return, Siavash asks if he took the cereal to Dogface. Karly reacts 'You've spoken - are you allowed to speak?' To which Siavash instructs her 'don't talk to Dogface'. This then causes Charlie, Lisa, Karly and Noirin to speculate that perhaps Siavash and Dogface are only allowed to talk to certain people and not others. Lisa predicts that 'we'll soon find out'.
11.35am:
Siavash and Dogface are in the Sitting Room. They have been attempting not to swear for 2 hours and 6 minutes. Dogface accidentally says 'bloody' and tells Siavash 'I'm up again, I just said bloody'. She goes out into the Garden to inform Karly, Lisa and Charlie about the punishment and how she will now face the public vote, questioning 'who said bloody is a swear word? It is in the Bible!' Siavash, who since Dogface swore has been pondering what the implications are for him, decides to also swear saying '**** it. If you go down, I go down.'
Siavash then goes inside and tells Marcus and Noirin about the punishment and how he will now face the public vote, explaining that he was considering swearing anyway as he believes that no one should get a free ride to the final and everyone should be up for eviction some time.
1.09pm:
Lisa and Marcus are in the Living Room. Lisa asks Marcus if he likes Goths and rock chicks. Marcus says that he doesn't really have a type, but now he is of the age where he looks at women as potential wives and mothers. Lisa asks if Noirin is his ideal woman, but Marcus suggests that the idea she has of herself in the house is perhaps different to her real self on the outside and consequently they might not get on as well with each other when they leave.
2.39pm:
Today Housemates are nominating for the 6th time. Rodrigo and Noirin are in the Kitchen.
Charlie is the first to nominate and he chooses Marcus and Noirin.
Dogface is the second Housemate to nominate - she nominates Marcus due to the fact that she believes he is two-faced and untrustworthy, tells crude jokes and is 'pervy' in the way that he follows Noirin 'like a lap dog'. Her second nomination is Noirin on the grounds that she feels that she can't trust her, tried to make Siavash look bad and that she is scheming with Marcus.
Halfwit nominates Lisa based on the fact he thinks that she is 'scheming' and 'creating paranoia and fear' in the house which is preventing people having fun. He then nominates Karly as he sees her as a 'pawn of Lisa', who has 'got no spine', has none of her own standards and has been drawn into Lisa's gang 'out of personal weakness'.
Karly nominates Noirin, stating that she has stabbed her in the back and is hurt by the fact Noirin said she was just an acquaintance in the house and not her friend and has recently been 'off' with her. Her second nomination is for Marcus, believing he is 'vulgar', 'always swearing' and 'disrespectful'.
Lisa nominates Noirin, saying that she is not mixing with the girls, 'blowing hot and cold' and that they are not clicking any more and suggests she has a game-plan. Her second nomination is for Marcus as she does not like his attitude and the way he is a know it all and states that whenever anyone says something, he has to say something about it in addition.
Marcus nominated Lisa and Karly.
Noirin nominates Karly as she feels that she looks down upon her, is 'self absorbed' and considers herself to be better than everyone else. Her second choice is Lisa, believing that she is a 'backstabber' and no longer acknowledges her or involves her in anything that she does.
Rodrigo nominates Lisa, reasoning that she has divided the house and has taken herself away from some of the other Housemates. His second vote goes to Karly, believing that she is isolated from the group and that she complains about other people too much.
At the Bus Stop Lisa, Karly and Dogface are talking about Halfwit. They all agree that he has changed this week for the better as he is more relaxed and being himself. Dogface adds that he has stopped talking about politics so she can understand what he says now.
Siavash is the final housemate to nominate, and with his deciding vote nominates Noirin because he considered her a friend but believes that she has betrayed his trust and this upset him. His second nomination is for Karly as although he states that she is a friend, he feels that she is making people group up and that she is going along with Lisa's game-plan, to the detriment of the house.
Karly and Noirin received 5 nominations each and will therefore join Dogface and Siavash to face the public vote on Friday.
5.42pm:
Noirin is cooking some mince. Marcus raises the issue about tobacco being on the shopping list and how that affects the share of the budget the smokers should have. Karly says she is fine with having lentils and Dogface says she doesn't want any tea as she is watching her figure.
Marcus goes out into Garden and raises the matter with Lisa. Lisa tells him that Kris said she could have his portion. Marcus informs her that Dogface is not having any tea due to her being on a diet and Lisa quickly jumps in to say that in which case she can have Dogface's portion as well. She grumbles that she wouldn't begrudge people of food and that she is owed food today. Marcus goes back into the Kitchen and tells Noirin and Dogface that Lisa isn't happy, but that she has had fags and yet is still wanting food.
Back out in the Garden Lisa speculates that Noirin was getting Marcus to do her dirty work and says that she should tell her to her face if she has a problem. She then decides to go and confront Noirin and Marcus about the matter.
Lisa comes into the Kitchen, asking if she's allowed any more food after having the mince. Noirin makes the point that it is not fair for them to have other things on the shopping list. Lisa brings up the point about tokens and how she lets other people do what they want with them, to which Marcus states that she takes them for hair clippers. The issue is closed by Lisa who says that she won't eat after tomorrow and leaves the Kitchen with a plate of food. At the Dining table Lisa decides that she doesn't want all of the mince anyway and gives it away.
7.18pm:
Siavash states that 'I have been me' and that he would be sad to leave the house but very happy if he stays. He adds that 'sometimes I risk things… I'm a gambler, even though I have never gambled.'
Noirin and Marcus are by the Pool. Noirin tells Marcus that she 'can't be bothered with idiots' and alludes to the 'intimidating bitches' and that she hopes they enjoy stabbing people in the back. Marcus asks 'What can I do to make you relaxed?' and says that he needs a hug. Noirin flatly states, 'I don't'. Marcus goes on to say that he will protect her, but Noirin maintains that she doesn't need protecting. They discuss the fact that the issues between her and Lisa have come out and Marcus tells her 'you have an enemy now', to which Noirin responds 'bring it on if she wants to play that game'.
10.21pm
Halfwit, Siavash, Marcus and Noirin are in the Sitting Room. Siavash refers to the war in Iraq saying that wars are a resultant of one group wanting something someone else has. He likens that to the atmosphere that has descended upon the house in that 'everyone has their eye on what someone else has'.
The rest of the Housemates are in the Garden. Lisa says that if Marcus ever confronts her she will 'take his balls off' and that he is more aggressive than what she is. Charlie refers to the fact that the 2 groups have split and Lisa suggests that it is the other group who have taken themselves away from her. Rodrigo airs his opinion that 'this division is not nice' and that if the house got back together they would enjoy themselves more, but Lisa maintains that 'I am happy here.'
