I find the forums great when I'm doing boring planners, and looking for or making resources for teaching. I will finish something first and then have a break and a wee look at the forums before getting back to business, lol. You've been around more this year, Cameron. Is that because you're enjoying BB10, or just other circumstances?

I decided I wanted to spend most of the summer at home this year and it's really paid off. We've had the most spectacular weather, lots of beach time, fishing, boating, bonfires, barbecues, socialising - it's been absolutely great. Reminds me of what I've been missing these past years. (not that the past few years haven't been enormous fun as well y'understand, it's just different being at home with friends and family)

Sounds idyllic, Cameron. Those are all things I love doing too, which is why I'm spending the whole summer in Donegal. My dad and brother have boats, and there are the most gorgeous beaches all around this part of the world. The weather in late May to June was gorgeous, and it's not bad just now - the sun has come back! I'm actually trying to write a book at the minute. I was going to try to write a children's book to read to my class, but I've got ideas for a novel, and I've been working on that. I have no expectations of it being any good, and I'll probably never show it to anyone, but I have wanted to try to develop my creative writing for years.

So it's just as well there is no live feed of BB, otherwise I'd get no writing done!

aw, GUYS!! I am gagging for a holiday. Two and a half weeks and counting....!!

I've been filling in for someone else for the last three months as well as doing my regular job and I am incredibly ready for a break. But I am also enjoying BB this year and chatting in the evenings is a welcome wind-down - glad it's happening :)

TD, I hope the time goes in quickly - you sound as if you REALLY need a rest!

The friend I am staying with is getting her holidays on Friday, and she's really limping on till the end.

I do like BB chat even when I'm working as a bit of light relief!

Jack in the Shocks

Big Brother is wondering about the extra-sensory powers of one of the housemates – Dogface. While the housemates were waiting for Marcus's Task to take place, Dogface reckoned that Marcus might be competing against Rex.

And as Marcus sat at the Bus Stop, Big Brother ushered into the House none other than BB9 contestant Rex…

"Oh my god – cool," purred Noirin, clearly taken with the ginger prince.

"I didn't like him," sneered Lisa.

"Do you think he's bonny?" asked Charlie as he checked him up and down.

"No way, No WAY!" shouted Lisa, obviously hoping it could've been Angelina Jolie lookalike Sarah from BB9 "I wish it was Sarah – he picked on her didn’t he?" she added trying to rally support.

Out in the Garden, Rex and Marcus were getting to know each other. "Hey," said Rex, "you finally got to wear your X-Man outfit!"

But Marcus was ready with a payback line. "I told all my friends that if I saw you, I'd punch you – are you ready to take it?" he asked with a laugh.

"You know this is for our food and everything, yeah?" Marcus reminded Rex.

"You're gonna be hungry then," replied Rex with a smug grin.

"**** it – just shock the ********" laughed Marcus.

And so they did – they kept shocking everyone deliberately, causing tempers to fray and emotions to boil over. Noirin was so hacked off, she sought sanctuary in the Diary Room.

"Do you have my thing on a higher setting than anyone else's," she asked with a sob.

But it was just the same as everyone else, so Noirin – along with Lisa – opted to remove their shock pads.

Does that mean they've failed the Task already?

Token Gesture

Take eight housemates, keep them hungry, deprive them of luxuries, booze and fags, then give them all electric shocks – whaddya think will happen? That's right, a huge explosive row over a tiny little thing!

It all started off when Siavash announced to the group that he wasn’t happy about Lisa and Noirin getting alcohol from the others' tokens because they had given up on the Task

"No, we should still get alcohol," Lisa bellowed at him. "We're a team, we couldn't stand the pain. That's just being spiteful Siavash."

On the side of fairness, Charlie sensed a flaw in Siavash's argument. "So with your Token you don't want them to have a drink, but everyone else who puts a Token in you don't mind?" he asked, which Siavash agreed with.

"If you gave up, I wouldn't say you couldn't have anything," spat Lisa from the sidelines.

"The thing is," replied Siavash, "if I gave up, I would say I don't want anything."

Charlie immediately pounced on Siavash and asked what gave him the right to decide what individual Tokens were spent on.

"I never said that I'm gonna decide what to do with my Token," replied Siavash defensively.

"Tokens are for everyone man," Halfwit reminded him.

But Siavash was adamant that Lisa and Noirin shouldn't expect alcohol.

"I just think that's greedy," said Charlie turning away.

"Let him have his one Token and we'll share the other six if nobody minds," shouted Lisa before another comment from Siavash made her lose it. "I'm not arguing with you, because it's just ****," she spat at him. "We couldn't stand the pain so we took our pads off."

"You shouldn't expect us to give you anything," Siavash shot back at her. "That's for us to decide, not you."

But it was clear that there was no 'us' involved – Siavash was on his own.

"Everyone else apart from you hasn't got a problem with it," Charlie told him

Be careful what you sow Siavash…
