So - up for the public vote next week are - the 5 newbies.

Unless Hira goes back, probably falling over the hamper several times in the process, and gets it into her head what she needs to do, they are doomed.

OK, so she needs to explain the task to the other 4. They will soon realise she does not know what the task is, they should realise that the original HM's have to nominate and it cannot possibly be that the two names she has are up without good reason.

If she fails to sort it out then she will be the one going anyway...

Back to square one then. Just when it looked like we might be able to kick the old boot this time next Friday, she's got time to regroup and we'll be back to 'Alfwit V Marcus, 'Alfwit V Noirin, 'Alfwit V Siavash...

That being said, what if Freddie & Noirin get put up for eviction but someone else ties with them? Does that count? Or will BB just decide whether it does or not based on who it is?

And what if just one of them goes up. And will the old ones be able to nominate the new ones or not

I thought it was if they are 'nominated', as if just ONE single vote.. for both..and the noobs are safe.

Yep - could be that 4 of the original HM's all tie with 3 votes each and are all up for eviction, as long as Halfwit and Noirin are two of those 4 the newbies get to stay.

Not going to happen, it will take Hira a month of Sunday's to understand the task, if she's not already forgotten she has to tell the other 4...

It could happen, I just don't think it'll be due to the newbies efforts if so, merely dumb luck on ther part

So basically, this task is passable without Hira doing anything. Because Noirin is in the sights as far as Lisa and the crew are concerned, so if it really is just one nom and they're safe, they're safe anyway.

I missed the HLs show, because my digibox didn't record it properly, but I saw the newbies go in and I don't like any of them. They all seem like a bunch of tw*ts, especially that hideous camp Northern pillock.

Hira's confusion in the DR was hilarious! I'm sure Noirin will be nominated, but not so sure about Freddie. I'm still not clear on whether Noirin and Freddie only need to get a nomination from a HM, or whether they need to be up for eviction. Clear as mud, lol.

I think BB can tweak this task to go the way they want, hence the ambiguity. Which makes me mad because it's just a BB8-style device to get a bit of conflict going, when it would have happened anyway because it always does when new HMs go in. Boring, unimaginative, lame tasks are what makes for a boring, lame BB - remember all that rubbish in BB8 about the Gurus having to decide who's up for the public vote which was meant to be all tense and exciting, but was ruined because BB allowed Gerry to go "put me up, put me up" etc?

Bah.

Hopefully they'll settle in quickly and some new house dynamics will become apparent.
