"Oh no we got wigs," cried Lisa as she rummaged around in her costume box

"Aw, you're joking," echoed David as he pulled a pair of naff-looking trainers out of his.

"I've got a moustache and an 80s hairdo," laughed Dogface, but as they began to put on their outfits, the damning realisation of their humiliation began to sink in.

"Let's have a look at you," shouted Lisa to David, "ooh, it suits you!" she added.

But David wasn't very happy. "This wig's making me sweat like a pig," he groaned.

But David's itchy wig was nothing compared to what Dogface was going through. "I look like my ****** dad," she sighed with exasperation.

In The Lap Of Halfwit

Big Brother doesn't have big horns growing out of the top of Big Brother's head. Nor does Big Brother have a long tail, or carry a fork of fire. But just because Big Brother doesn't look like the devil, doesn't mean Big Brother isn't a devil. Or a genius.

Over the past couple of days, Big Brother has had the housemates compete in a series of Tasks – Stavros Flatley, Kebabs, Changing the Guard – in order to fill the fridge and the larder. But it's all been a sham – a dirty trick! None of the Tasks the housemates have been competing in count for anything other than for Big Brother's amusement.

What a shocker!

The actual Task is all in the hands of Halfwit…

As Halfwit is Zeus, the Task rests solely on his shoulders. And for the Task, he must choose housemates to compete against each other in a series of three challenges: Strength, Weight Lifting and Wealth.

For the Strength Task, Halfwit chose Marcus and Thomas for an arm wrestling match which Thomas must win to pass the Task.

For the Weight Lifting Task, Halfwit again chose Marcus and Thomas, but for this Task Marcus must win to pass the Task.

For the Wealth Task, Halfwit chose Siavash to compete against Kenneth in a contest of assessing the value of items set before them. Siavash must win the challenge in order to pass the Task

Fairly straightforward as Tasks go, but there was a grim warning from Big Brother.

"If you reveal the details of the Secret Shopping Task to any other housemate, you will fail this week's Shopping Task. Do you understand?"

"I understand," replied Halfwit.

"It is strictly forbidden for you to reveal any details of this Diary Room conversation with any of your housemates. If you do so, you will fail this week's Shopping Task. Do you understand?" added Big Brother.

"I understand," replied Halfwit again before leaving the Diary Room with the world on his shoulders.

That is one tough Task…

Back to Basics

Earlier today Halfwit learnt that only he was responsible for the outcome of this week's shopping Task. The Aphrodite Challenge, the Kebab Chef Challenge, the Stavros Flatley Challenge and the Changing of the Guards challenge were all cover stories for the real Task:

Halfwit had to select an opponent who would beat Marcus, Kenneth and Tom in their respective challenges.

At least two of the opponents he selected had to win their challenge in order for housemates to pass this week's Shopping Task and win a luxury budget of five pounds per head per day.

Big Brother told Halfwit that if he revealed any details of his secret shopping task to anyone, he would fail this week's Shopping Task.

On the Task front, Halfwit selected Tom to be Marcus' opponent in the Arm Wrestling Challenge, but Tom lost to Marcus. Halfwit chose Siavash to be Kenneth's opponent in the Valuation Quiz, but Siavash lost to Kenneth. Halfwit selected Marcus to be Tom's opponent in the endurance weight lifting challenge, but Marcus lost to Tom. So, Halfwit failed to spot the winning opponent for the Arm Wrestling, Valuation and Endurance Weight Lifting Challenge.

As well as the Task failure, Halfwit also attempted to influence the results of these three challenges by hinting at the desired outcome for each challenge to his fellow housemates. Naughty Halfwit!

As a result, housemates will be receiving a basic budget. AGAIN.
