sounds as if they're leftovers from this year.

anyway, :puke: whatever month you eat 'em in.

What you need really is a trip to Cadbury World in Birmingham, or the Cadbury's discount shop in Clark's Village, Street. :)

Who knows. They probably go off at the end of July or something, they wouldn't be able to sell them if they were past the date already.

I've never liked them. Far too sweet. The chocolate's OK but the rest of it....bleh.

There is a Cadbury Outlet shop at the Lakeside Village (Formally Yorkshire Outlet), just off the M18 junction 3 at Doncaster...

Creme Eggs are still full price there. Despite the shop name, there's not much at a greatly reduced price, which is what those outlet shops are supposed to be. What you can get there are bags of mis-shapes and other factory rejects that wouldn't be in the normal shops, but I think they are priced too high and I'd rather buy not-as-damaged product for about the same price.

I have seen creme eggs in discount shops bagged up at 6 for a pound and even Lidl sold the boxes of 6 for 99p this year, regular line, not discount.

There is no 'sell by' date on the individual eggs, there is on the boxes of course. At one time the foil was printed with the words 'laid for 2003', or whatever year it was, but once they are out of a box, who knows when they were made.

Bourneville must be on with the 2010 batch by now, the selection boxes must be on their way to the shops by now.

And for anyone who was wondering about the effects of a long-gone eat by date on a creme egg, I offer this tale... MSE

That bloke sounds a bit.... interesting. I think eating 45 creme eggs (or anything!) in one go would make you a bit ill at the best of times mind you!

That's a really funny post OG, thanks

I agree about the prices in the Cadbury shop.

The Thorntons shop is MUCH better  ()^

There's one of them where I live but I've never been in.

I passed my driving theory and hazard perception today :) :) :) Had been stressing about it big time (and hadn't told a soul except my parents and then a v. close friend at midnight last night!) so was very very happy this afternoon. Yay!!

well done Jezi

you might just inspire me to try driving again.

Before now I've been a bit "I think see the point in owning a car in London". However lately I'm feeling like it would be a good thing to learn, even at the age of 33

Thanks guys ()^ :D

You should DH. We're in totally different circumstances as I do live out not quite in the middle of nowhere but in lots of respects near enough and wish now that I hadn't waited until I was 20 but I just didn't feel ready at all. The whole thing has kinda clicked with me the last couple of weeks, it is a fab feeling. Can't wait for the freedom.
