Big Hearted BeaLike all the best parties, if there isn't a huge argument then it hasn't really been a party. Fortunately, nobody locked themselves in the loo and nobody was sick on the stairs, but there were a few post-booze recriminations…
"Why did I have to go to that drawer," sighed Dogface as she remembered the moment she'd found the cigarettes in Marcus's drawer.
"You didn’t do anything wrong," Bea reassured her. "You did not, not, not, not, not do anything wrong. You just saw something and you were surprised at seeing it and you asked a couple of people how to deal with the situation. Don't let it boil up in your head into anything different than that," she added, giving dogface an affectionate squeeze.
But then Bea had a thought, remembering that Marcus had intended secretly giving the cigarettes to her. "Oh my god – do you think he was going to try to make out like I'd stolen them?" Bea asked with a look of horror
"I still don't understand why he took them anyway – he knew all this hassle would come," said Dogface, and with that Bea was off into the Garden where she was needed to administer some soothing vibes to Charlie over his row with Halfwit that had sprung from 'Baccy-gate'.
"Do you feel alright this morning babe?" Bea asked Charlie soothingly.
"Yeah, I feel better. I'll speak to Freddie later if he wants to, but I'm not going to bring it up. I'll just see if he wants to speak to me so I can explain it," Charlie explained.
"I wouldn't worry," Bea told him.
"It's done now. It just ended up turning into an argument. I think it was because I was in a mood as well," Charlie admitted sheepishly.
"Everything always seems much worse when you're on a downer anyway," Bea explained to him.
"I was in a really good mood and then a bad mood and then I got into that argument which wasn't a good thing," Charlie recalled.
See, a good night's sleep and it all seems so much better…
