The TruceHaving avoided each other for most of the day, Rodrigo and Siavash have finally buried the hatchet after last night's row.
"You OK Siavash?" asked Rodrigo, wandering into the Bedroom.
"Yeah, doing my nails," explained Siavash, lounging on a bed in his android costume. As you do.
Rodrigo launched straight into what may have been a prepared speech. "The thing is, we have different views. You are a person who don't like to go with other people's rules, and I am a person who goes with the rules. That's the conflict. This is why we are here, because we have different views," he said, looking a bit flustered.
Siavash nodded in agreement. "I told you that's what I'm like. I don't know why you were surprised."
"It is not possible to not have conflict when people have different views," Rodrigo continued. "We will not change our minds, so the only thing to do is just enjoy our last Tasks together."
"Yeah, we've been friends for 12 weeks," agreed Siavash. "It's a shame to not talk."
But then he took the opportunity to reveal his real reasons for not nominating. "Can I just say, I do not not nominate because I don't have reasons and I find it hard and I love everyone," he said somewhat confusingly. "I didn't nominate because I want to go up. If the public want me out, it's another chance for them to get me out. If I go to the final I'll be like, the public wanted me to be in the final. I'm not doing it to be nice to anyone - I'm doing it for me."
As Rodrigo listened, looking a bit perplexed, Siavash added, "Fair enough, you don't want to break the rules. You find it easier to nominate rather than break the rules."
"Rules are important in the House," Rodrigo told him. "Because if it was not the show I wouldn't be here."
Yep, Big Brother doesn't invite them all in just to make themselves comfortable and not vote all summer, you know.
But Siavash simply replied, "My rules are more important to me than the rules of the show."
Heading out to the Garden after the chat, Rodrigo told Sophie, "[Siavash] is a really nice person. We have the same experience together and we need to keep in contact."
So the argument is over - but apparently Siavash is keen to put the public to the test by getting nominated this week. Has his plan paid off? He'll soon find out, as nominations will be announced later today...
