You really don't like OJ Borg do you?!! I'm sure he's had other career highlights. It was strange yesterday and I'm sure it was just that Kate was ill, good to hear they'll be doing breakfast though.

Well I like Kate & OJ, and hope it will continue for some time. A slightly muddying skit to start the show, but I'm sure she's just not well, she has been saying she's not feeling great recently.

On the contrary, think OJ Borg is ok, but you must admit some of OJ Borg comments towards Kate have been sexist & puerile at times. Which is odd because OJ Borg does have genuine wit.

Of course there's a genuine philosophy/chemistry between them which means OJ Borg pays Kate no compliments on air, unless one slips out. That's part of the show.

And is it Kate you like, or is it really OJ Borg?
The comment I made about OJ Borg's career was purely tongue-in-cheek, and in good humour. Something you should have realised.
You are allowed to criticise anybody's career - whether it be Davina McCall or Jordan, etc.
Kate seemed genuinely peeved that OJ Borg didn't make 'Hole in the Wall'?

Oh, and the comment I made about OJ Borg disregarding Kate's House DJ career for comedy purposes, as innocent as OJ Borg's intent no doubt is, is relevant.
Kate worked really hard to establish herself, driving up and the motorways, flying everywhere for very little money; she gets horrible comments from some people on the Dance scene telling her to go away, or worse. But Kate never exploited the fact that she could have made much money as a naff celebrity DJ.

When Kate's mom was on The Morning After soon after she started with Tim Shaw, Tim asked her what made her most proud of Kate?
Kate's mom's answer was something like, 'all the driving Kate does on motorways to get to her gigs'. Sorry, Kate may well have faults & flaws, as do most people in the 'industry', but I think that says a lot about her.

Kate was back today on the Breakfast show, and on good form.
She did go to the Kasabian gig after all!

Brilliant radio in the 8 o'clock hour when OJ Borg was talking about cycling home from the gym last night. He mentioned a driver in a blacked-out Ford Mondeo who was hassling him on the road, pretty hairy moments! OJ asked producer Neil what swearword he should have said to the cretin hassling him, Neil's reply was 'Tit!'. Kate laughed her head off! Goes to show how genuinely funny OJ Borg can be at times talking life and stuff. Hope it makes the podcast.

Kate's finally relented and is having a nose-job. Unnecessary, but she said it will be subtle, nothing like Dani Minogue!, and she has always hated her nose. Too many derogatory comments in the past.

Think your over-analysing somewhat PiL, it's light entertainment, just enjoy. No reason to be liking Kate or OJ, you can enjoy them both.

Not really happy with the nose job thing, but I'm generally against cosmetic surgery....

Like the show and love the fact that Kate has a very good job in radio, as opposed to naff celebrity promotion.
And I do like OJ Borg, but not obliged to love everything he says and does, nor Kate Lawler for that matter. It's just an opinion!

Kate said at the start of the Breakfast show today that OJ Borg will be presenting the Euro Millions Lottery on the Beeb tonight, and promoted his solo Club Kerrang show on Kerrang! Radio, 6pm, saturday.
Kate is DJing in Ireland and Middlesbrough this weekend.
Can't understand why Kate has not played some important gigs in Ibiza this year in order to get good publicity within the Dance media, especially after getting a Dance magazine front page on M8, but that's how it is.

No rest for the wicked, Kate & OJ Borg are back for Drivetime on Bank Holiday Monday.

Kate said last night on Kerrang! that she's going to Bestival, the Isle of Wight, at the weekend.

Massive Attack, friday, er, Kraftwerk!, saturday, and Elbow on the sunday.

Hmm, have to say I'm a tad worried about the future of the show at the moment. Contracts traditionally are up in October after all in radioland. There have been the odd little aside from the two of them, digs at management, cost-cutting and talk about them not being considered able to work together. May all be banter, but who knows.

All of a sudden they aren't in tomorrow. They said they were going to knock the USOK thing on the head this week too

Fridays are often when these big announcements happen, and it would be roughly this time two years ago this thread started with an announcement about the brekkie show

Kate said on wednesday that The United States of Kerrang! was coming to an end and also Henri's singing travel.
OJ Borg got an hour removed from his saturday night show. Mind you, he's not very charismatic on his own, especially without Kate in the studio.

It's a case of wait and see.

Kate said earlier in the week that she was attending Bestival in The Isle of Wight this weekend; OJ Borg and Daniele Perry are going to be there.
It does start friday, the reason Kate won't be presenting Drivetime.

Don't know if Kate is introducing a band on Kerrang's stage on sunday in Birmingham for Birmingham's mega Artfest. Hopefully, she will; she introduced the headline act The Levellers last year - hardly z-list promotion!

OJ Borg presented the mid-week lottery on wednesday - Derren Brown explains his illusion tonight on Channel 4, 9pm.

I don't think Kate gets back from Bestival til Monday morning, but we can see - are you going to artsfest on sunday?

I also don't think OJ had the hour taken off him on saturdays, I think it was changed when other lineup changes were made and I think more are to come at Kerrang.

Looking forward to the Derren Brown programme tonight I'm intrigued, it was great coverage for OJ - ergo for Kate and OJ's drive show.

Er, not going to Artsfest, not really a fan of Athlete, other line-up pretty good.

Derren Brown is brilliant but completely avoided the issue of trickery regarding the actual show that was broadcast.

Kate was hilarously croaky last night after making it back from her sojourn to The Isle of Wight Bestival - no such luck for OJ Borg who was prevented by a travel delay.
OJ Borg is back today.

Kate and OJ Borg have a good competition this week, which is great because the big media competitions usually go to breakfast. Thought Kate ran it really well last night.
