CHAMPAGNE flowed as celebrities turned up to raise more than £40,000 for meningitis victim Tilly Lockey.
An event at Gateshead’s Hilton Hotel on Saturday saw more than 100 celebrity handprints auctioned to raise money for the three-year-old, who lost both her hands to meningitis at the age of 15 months.
At the dinner were Denise Welch, business tycoon Duncan Bannatyne, Emmerdale’s Charlie Hardwick and Vicky Hawkins, and Waterloo Road’s Chris Greere.
Big Brother’s Liam McGough and Anthony Hutton were also at the bash.
Liam said: "When I came out of Big Brother I did a couple of charity events in the North East and met Tilly and her mum.
"She is such a lovely little lass, your heart just goes out to her."
