Might be a bit of an exclusive to this site, but last night, Kate mentioned the logistical and timescale nightmare she had getting a fitness go-ahead from her doctor, including travel injections, for Argentina! - also kept saying that the trip was a 'working' one along with holiday - all a bit hush hush.

Sounds like Kate is flying thursday so she might mention something tonight.

Kate, pretty cool last night, great Sacha Baron Cohen, 'Bruno', competition, and producer neil wasn't heard once??

Hope Kate can balance her Kerrang! Radio career with other media opportunities/respected club career, etc.

Well all we really learnt last night was it was "work" rather then a holiday, so we'll have to wait and see. The contestants for "Total Wipeout" are being flown out this week though, so it would be a big coincidence if she wasn't going....

Mind you Kate's said she's not feeling well, could throw a spanner in the works for everything

THREE early mornngs for Kate last week-including following the Kerrang party at o2 Thursday night-kate 4 hours sleep but had a good night with good bands.I still don't like this theory that Kate fills in on the morning headline show as she's then missing for her regulers.

It was really good and lively when that band came in. Nice energy and some good laughs, I'd like them to do that more often ideally

It is disconcerting when she does the different shifts, and I can never understand why one of the brekkie show presenters can't do it alone if another is off

Yeah, Kate was brill on breakfast last week, but Kerrang! Radio regard her as their best choice when others are ill, indisposed, or on holiday.
Simon James and Hill have it in their contract that they can only present the breakfast show together. A bit silly. Especially after the culling of DJs this year.

Kate in good form last night on Drivetime - she went to see Friendly Fires on friday - and ended up on her boyfriend's shoulders!

Staff Xmas party for Kerrang! Radio the other night but things seemed remarkably restrained and sober! according to Kate on last night's show.

Kate said the other day that she would be working Xmas Day again this year - assume it's the breakfast show again.
Not many gigs listed over the Xmas period on Kate's myspace but Kate back in Glasgow for New Year's Eve.

Kate said last night that new photos for Kerrang! Radio DJs have just been commissioned and completed, including herself, of course.
So wait to see what Kerrang! Radio looks like next year.
Kate scheduled for presenting on christmas eve today and christmas day tomorrow.

She's been very good this week, I guess she's having to do the xmas shows at kerranf because of that week she took off for whatever reasons.

She's just said she's doing brekkie tomorrow and all through next week, no wonder she's not got any xmas gigs

Kate in good mood this week; Kate's mom and dad played the alphabet game yesterday and Kate's partner along with Karen's played the alphabet game today.

Kate mentioned the other day that her brother Robert is looking after her appartment in London so looks like it's full steam ahead for Kate and Kerrang! Radio next year.

Yes, she was on brekkie on Xmas day and the first 15 minutes of Alex Baker's show next up.

Yeah she seems to have been alone up until today, quite some feat really, particularly with seasonal hangovers and croaky voice



I listened to it all on the repeat facility, it's down as the "rock and roll years" the show after the Morning After on xmas day, they haven't changed the names of the shows. It was okay, I only really listened until Kate left.



Well it's certainly a bit harsh, clearly going against the glossy look of last year for a more grungey look. Think Johnny Doom looks the prettiest in the pic TBH.

Like Kate's look - very indie/boho/hippychick and thank the lord Kate hasn't been pretentious enough like some z-list upstarts to wear a 'RAMONES' t-shirt, great as they were. Kate has her own style.

Think and hope the new publicity picture shows a fresh confidence for Kerrang! Radio after a rather turbulent year - it's definitely a much needed alternative to bland pop stations and, 'ooh aren't we so cool', Radio One.

Kate signed off breakfast today, off to Glasgow for a return gig tonight for New Year's Eve, back on Drivetime, monday.
