The end of Jedward

So that's that then. We knew it couldn't last for ever. It had to end somewhere. But what a beautiful journey it's been. We've laughed (at their dancing), we've cried (at their singing) and we've started to doubt our own sanity. But Jedward is no more.

When the bottom two were revealed their fate was sealed. It was a sensational news. Spud-faced Olly Murs - the bookies' favourite to win the show - was alongside them in the bottom two. Even Jedward themselves were stunned.

Former Elstree teacher still enjoying X-Factor run

FORMER Elstree School teacher, Danyl Johnson, has made it through to the next round of X-factor.

Danyl, who was allowed to take a trip home from the gruelling schedule to visit his family, friends and former school pupils last week, performed George Michael’s Careless Whisper on Saturday night and won himself a place in next week’s show.

His name was announced third on Sunday night and twins John and Edward along with Olly Murs had to battle it out in the sing-off. John and Edward sang No Matter What by Boyzone while Olly sand Eric Clapton’s Wonderful Tonight.
The judges voted off John and Edward.

Danyl is now through to the final five contestants.
