My motorbike arrived Saturday while I was at work.
Unfortunately I'd been given the wrong registration details by the supplier so haven't been able to ride it yet.

These are quite rare in White.

They are normally to be found in :-

Red / Silver
Yellow
Black Knight
Black / Silver
Matt Black
Blue / Silver
Silver
Dark Blue
Dark Red

My brother said that the bike is a good copy of the bikes from the old TV show 'Chips'.

The bike is big and rather heavy for a 125CC which is why the lighter you are the higher the top-end speed is once run in. There are two other engines used ,the 200CC and the 250CC. Still they claim a top speed around 72MPH and between 100 - 110 MPG.

That looks good Larry ()^ I was going to say it looks very big and heavy. The white looks nice. You'll have to make sure you keep it clean though!

It would ,I think ,have looked even better if the paniers had been White as well.

Any way I bought some Stainless Steel to make a bracket to hold my radio aerials.
I had a chat with the owner of the engineering company next to where I work and he cut ,drilled ,and welded the bits to form the bracket I wanted.

Here are two pictures one with the whole bike and the second is just the area with the bracket in more detail. The picture was taken with my phone in fading light so even after cleaning up they are a bit grainy.

The bracket has now been painted Black and should blend in with the rest of the Black.
As the aerials are hinged just up from the base I can adjust them to vertical.
Also the 'sissy bar' ,the padded hoop ,will be coming of so it doesn't effect the tuning of the aerial. I can mount another reflector on the bracket if required though it does have another at the rear.

Had the bike on the road today. Have done just under 10KM.
The weight isn't that noticable but pushing it up the drive backwards (no room to turn it around in the drive) up a fairly steep incline is no fun. I have reversed it down so I can use the engine to get it up there next time.

It would have been nice if the footplates were less inclined making gear selection easier and braking more natural. If it wasn't for the linkages it might have been an idea to fit more normal foot pegs.

And one thing I must set-up is the idle speed as it idles around 3000 rpm when warm and it should be around 1800 rpm.

And I must take it to a filling station as it's only got 3/4 of a can of petrol. We still had one Shell garage left at 117.9P/Lt when last checked though knowing my luck it will have gone up.

I can see hours of fun a head ,and if I had Pound for every driver that reaches for their seatbelt I'd soon be rich.

I'm up to I think 29KM.

Took it to the filling station today.

Starting to get used to it .It turns a few heads and gets good comments from passersby. Though I'm not so sure the car drivers are that impressed at its running in speed of 30 - 35 MPH.

I set the Idle speed down to around 2000 RPM which isn't far off. I read it's 1800 - 2000.

The speedo is primary in KPH and the inner scale is MPH plus the mileage is KM so It's a little odd. Once clear of town I'm more a case of not letting the revs get above 5000 RPM. I've got 800KM like this. The from 800 - 1200 KM I can use up to 7500 RPM .Then 1200 - 1600 KM I can use the rest.

Can't remember if 1st Oil change is 800 or 1000KM.

Certainly keeps you fit when you have to move it by hand.
I must remember to go into the garage at an angle as I nearly hit the rear number plate on something in there when I put it on the top stand this afternoon.

I'm taking plenty of care as I've seen the inside of casualty a few to many times in my younger years as I result of riding mopeds and the like. 2 were RTC's and one was being high-sided by a Honda step-thru and my what appeared at first to be a near perfect parachute roll on the road later proved that I bruised some ribs on the road as I rolled.

The explanation of the 'high-sided' was braking on the approach to a 90 left from around 50 MPH when I managed to select 1st from 3rd which instantly got the back-end snaking towards the bend and the bend won as I ran out of space to stop the snaking and it threw me off over the handlebars. I rolled onto my feet and sat down. The bike must have been rather close-by. No real drama stood the bike up made sure the handlebars pointed in the right direction and continued on my way with my mates in tow.

1300KM later and I've changed the Panniers so they are now the same colour as the bike.
Also it's got another rear tyre as the original ,despite looking perfect ,wouldn't grip in the wet.

Yes and very visable .

The cheverons and the side strip are Diamond grade tape which is the same type used by the emergency services.

Don't know what type the orange strip on the top of the panniers is but it's extremely reflective.

Also changed the front sproket from a 15 tooth to a 16 tooth which reduces the revs at 50 MPH by about 1000 rpm.
