In fact, watching from your sofa, wearing your still-comfy Christmas slippers, is probably the best way to view the spectacle. All the red-carpet arrivals will be beamed to your living room, so you don't have to stand with hundreds of squealing strangers, all determined to catch the attention of double-nominee Julie Walters ("Joolee! Joolee!"). You can see the whole thing from the best seat in the house - ie yours - and you can go straight to bed afterwards. Bliss. Graham Norton, the best awards host in the business, will once again be master of ceremonies at the London Palladium.
