Shabby by name Shabby by nature - I can never get how a lovely looking girl like Shabby would one, choose that name for herself, and secondly dress like she was trying to keep all admirers at bay.

Why cant she be uniquely chic and cool? As you said she looks like a bag of shite, if she put some effort into how she dressed she would be taken seriously because she seems to be a clever girl, maybe she is hiding behind the facade she has created for herself.
