Big Brother 11’ s launch last night achieved an average audience of 5.0m viewers, 22% share, peaking at 5.9m at 10pm.

The last ever Big Brother launch show beat all the other terrestrial channels.

Up against BB11’s launch last night:

BBC1 - Junior Apprentice got 4.2m viewers.

BBC2 - Make Me a New Face: A New Hope for Africa’s Hidden Children got 1.6m viewers.

ITV1 - Father & Son got 3.7m viewers.

Five - NCIS got 2.0m Inds.

Last night’s rating of 5m viewers made BB11’s launch the third highest rating programme on Channel 4, so far this year.

are you talking about Tuesday's figure, because that didn't clash with the football.

the lovely* James Corden was ITV by then

* I'm not being sarcastic, I like James Corden :eviltongue:

Now why would I think you are being sarcastic, DH. :D
I think after the footie lots of people want to have a TV break and maybe watch newsnight or some other programme they might have recorded when the footie was on.

good point, I guess BB might the sort of prog you need to watch "live"

the quicker to digest the goings-on the better

anyway it looks like the series is holding up around 2 million mark, which considering the sporting opposition isn't that bad.

FYI guys next week is Wimbledon, so I'm off from work and won't be able to provide any overnight figures until Tuesday 29th.

I think Media Guardian should be an able substitute, if someone wants to keep this thread ticking over

I am a Tennis fan so with the footie, tennis, BB, work and that other thing called life I am knackered. I will try my best to keep an eye on the viewing figures.
