Big Brother 11 - Task: COMMISSION IMPOSSIBLE‏

It's the final series of Big Brother and today housemates are being tasked with filling up the air waves for Channel 4. For this week's shopping task, George Lamb will be asking the housemates to try out some new pilot shows to take Big Brother's place.

Housemates will be taking part in three new game show formats over the next two days. Two will take place today, and the final one will take place tomorrow.

Housemates will be the contestants and each pilot will present an opportunity to win money towards their weekly shopping budget. In addition, the individual winner of each game show will win a very special individual prize.

George Lamb will introduce the task via the plasma screen in the living room, and will then introduce each game show. Housemates must then decide who wants to become a contestant in which game show. All housemates must take part in one of the three game shows.

The two tasks taking place today are:

PILOT #1: OLD HEAD, HOT TOPIC

Two housemates will take part in this task. The contestants will watch clips of pensioners talking about the following topics:
1) England football team
2) Big Brother
3) Cabbage
4) Cheryl Cole
5) Gangsta Rap
6) Davina
7) Blue Rinses

The contestants will watch each VT and then guess what the pensioner is talking about. This will take place on the plasma screen in the Living Room - all other housemates will watch from the sofas.

For every hot topic they guess correctly, they will each receive £10 towards the shopping budget, meaning they can win a maximum of £140.

The individual winner will also win a mystery special prize.

(NB: In the event of a tie break, contestants will be asked to guess the age of one of the pensioners.)

PILOT #2: MUNCHERMIND

Six housemates will take part in this quiz where contestants have to literally eat the answers.

The six contestants will stand behind a table in the large Task Room. Set before each contestant will be a plate displaying an identical array of foods - some nice, some nasty.

All contestants will be asked a question. The answer is one of the foods in front of them - to answer the question, they must eat that item. Any contestant who fails to eat the correct item, or who eats nothing at all, will be knocked out of the quiz.

To win their £150 for the shopping budget, at least one housemate must eat all ten items correctly.

The final contestant also wins themselves a very special mystery reward.

(NB: In the event of a tie break, contestants will be asked to eat everything remaining on their plate.)

Sounds like two really **** formats to me. Sunshine is going to suck at game 2 thats for sure. I see, she and Ben are the host of game show 1.

EXCLUSIVE- Shopping Task Revealed

This week's shopping task sees a special appearance from gorgeous BBLB presenter, George Lamb. He will be asking the housemates to try out some new TV pilots to replace the huge void that Big Brother leaves.

Housemates will be taking part in three new game show formats over the next two days. Two will take place today, and the final one will take place tomorrow.

Housemates will be the contestants and each pilot will present an opportunity to win money towards their weekly shopping budget. In addition, the individual winner of each game show will win a very special individual prize (which we will exclusively reveal tomorrow). George will introduce the task via the plasma screen and will then introduce each game show.

PILOT #1: OLD HEAD, HOT TOPIC
Sunshine and Ben are the first 2 housemates to take part in this task.
They will watch clips of pensioners talking about various topics and then will have to guess what they are talking about whilst being watched by the other housemates.

There are 7 topics in total. For every hot topic they guess correctly, they will each receive £10 towards the shopping budget. The individual winner will also win a mystery special prize.
They are currently getting ready and putting on some game show clobber, stay tuned to see how they get on.

Shopping Task: Part 2
Shabby, Dave, Nathan, Corin, Josie and Steve are currently taking part in a quiz where they literally have to eat the answers.

In front of each contestant is a plate displaying an identical array of foods – some nice, some nasty.

Housemates will be taking part in three new game show formats over the next two days. Two tasks took place today - Old Head, Hot Topic and Munchermind.

The results are as follows:

Old Head, Hot Topic

Sunshine and Ben opted to take part in Old Head, Hot Topic. The contestants watched clips of pensioners talking and had to guess the topics they were about. For each correct answer housemates were awarded £10 towards their shopping budget.

Although both contestants guessed the topic correctly, Nathan cheated by shouting out the answer, and therefore their answers were void

In summary, at the end of the quiz, Ben won £30 and Sunshine won £20 meaning a grand total of £50 was won towards this week's shopping budget.

As top scorer, Ben also won a special individual prize which will be revealed at the end of the task.

PILOT #2: MUNCHERMIND

For the second part of the shopping task, six housemates took part. They were:
Nathan, Dave, Steve, Shabby, Josie and Corin

The six contestants were called to the task room where they had to stand behind a table. Set before each contestant was a plate displaying an identical array of foods - some nice, some nasty.

All contestants were asked a question. The answer was one of the foods in front of them - to answer the question they had to eat that item. Any contestant who failed to eat the correct item, or who eats nothing at all, was knocked out of the quiz.

The results were as follows:

Q1. All correct (Marshmallows)
Q2. Steve said the answer aloud, and was therefore eliminated for cheating. (Caviar)
Q3. All correct (Cupcake)
Q4. Nathan said the answer aloud, and was therefore eliminated for cheating. Shabby spat the garlic back out, and was therefore eliminated for not eating all the answer. (Garlic)
From this point on, Dave, Corin and Josie were playing.

Q8. All correct (both pickled gherkins and pickled eggs were accepted as correct)

As Dave, Corin and Josie all ate ten answers; they won the housemates £150 towards this week's shopping budget.

However, since Dave, Corin and Josie all ate all ten answers, there was a tie break where they attempted to eat everything that remained on their plates.

Dave ate everything on his plate (in 4min 2sec), and finished just before Josie (Corin attempted it but was far slower), he won this tie break so will win a special prize from Big Brother tomorrow.

Part three of the task will take place tomorrow.

Rachael Stressed About Task


Rachael is really nervous about her part in the task today. She has already told Sunshine that her stomach is ‘flipping’ just thinking about it. Rachael is determined to do the task but just hopes there isn’t anything too unpleasant waiting for her.

Rachael could be right to feel anxious, we all know how cruel Big Brother can be!

With this new feud between her and John James she seems to be feeling extra sensitive. They have not said a word to each other yet today!
We shall have to wait and see what Big Brother has got in store for Rachael.

The Totally Rubbish Quiz


Six Housemates are currently taking part in 'The Totally Rubbish Quiz', the third and final part of this week's shopping task, 'Commission Impossible'.

The Housemates taking part are split into 3 teams, as follows:


RED TEAM

John James & Ife


YELLOW TEAM

Govan & Rachael


BLUE TEAM

Mario & Caoimhe


There are three rounds in The Totally Rubbish Quiz. The two winning teams in round one will go on to take part in round two. The winner of round two will play for the shopping money in round 3.


Round 1: General Scrummage

In General Scrummage, one half of each team will stand inside their bin whilst their team mate stands beside them. Big Brother will ask the teams a question, the answer to which is hidden somewhere amongst the rubbish in the bi n . The team mate in the bin must find the answer and pass it to their team mate on the ground. The team mate on the ground must then hold the answer aloft and shout out the answer.

The first two teams to claim two correct answers will go through to the next round.


Round 2: Think While You Stink

For the second round, the teams will switch places so the other member of each team is now standing inside the bin. Ten bins are lined up on the opposite side of the garden, each containing a different type of food. On the sound of the klaxon, the team mates outside the bin will run to collect a bin. They will then run back to their team mate and pour the contents of that bin over their team mate. The contestant in the bin must then gues what is being poured over them. Only when they have correctly guessed, can their team mate on the ground run and get the next mystery bin. The first contestant in the bins to correctly guess what is being poured over them from the fifth and final bin will send their team into the finale.


Round 3: Binyata


For the finale, the winning team will face the Binyata. (The binyata is essentially a pinata full of rubbish.) The two contestants will choose which of the team will answer ten questions. At the end of the ten questions, the other member of the team will get to swing at the binyata. The amount of swings they get depends on the number of questions answered correctly. Within the binyata, in amongst the rubbish is a token representing money towards ths week's shopping budget. They must burst the binyata so the token drops to the floor to claim it.

As the winning team, they will also win a very special team prize.

Results of this week's shopping task - totally rubbish



It's the final series of Big Brother and for the past two days housemates have been tasked with filling up the air waves for Channel 4. For this week's shopping task, George Lamb has been asking the housemates to try out some new pilot shows to take Big Brother's place.

Yesterday, as part of the shopping task, housemates took part in two new game show formats - Old Head, Hot Topic and Munchermind. Housemates have just completed the third and final game show pilot - it's rubbish, it stinks. It's the totally rubbish quiz!

Totally Rubbish Quiz

The housemates taking part were split into three teams, as follows:
RED
John James & Ife
YELLOW
Govan & Rachael
BLUE
Mario & Caoimhe

There were three rounds in The Totally Rubbish Quiz, with the losing team not progressing to the next round. The winning team went on to challenge for the shopping cash.

Round1: General Scrummage

Answer to Q. 1 was a tyre. The BLUE team found this first.
Answer to Q.2 was a cat. No one found this.
Answer to Q.3 was a nappy. The YELLOW team found this first.
Answer to Q. 4 was a shoe. The BLUE team found this first, and became the first team to make it into the next round.
Answer to Q. 5 was a hard hat. The RED team found this first.
Answer to Q. 6 was pants. The RED team found this first, and became the second team to make it into the next round.

Therefore, the RED and BLUE team went on to take part in Round 2, and the YELLOW team were eliminated.

Round 2: Think While You Stink
For the second round, the teams switched places so the other member of each team spent time in the bin. Ten bins were lined up in the garden, each containing a different type of food waste. On the sound of the klaxon, the housemates outside the bin had to run and collect a bin, run back and then pour the contents of that bin over their team mate. The housemate in the bin had to guess what was being poured over them. Only once the contents of the bin had been correctly guessed could their team mate run and get the next mystery bin.

The red team completed the task in the fastest time and made it through to the finale.

Round 3: Binyata
For the finale, the red (Iffy and John James) faced the Binyata (a piñata full of rubbish.) Within the binyata, in amongst the rubbish is a token representing money towards this week's shopping budget. They must burst the binyata so the token drops to the floor to claim it. Iffy had to answer ten questions. She got 5 questions correct giving John James 5 swings at the binyata. However, he failed to break the binyata enough to release the token and as a result the housemates failed to win their £200 toward their shopping budget.


In summary:

The results of this weeks shopping task are as follows:

Pilot #1: Old Head Hot Topic - Housemates won £50
Pilot #2: Munchermind - Housemates won £150
Pilot #3: The Totally Rubbish Quiz - Housemates won nothing

Therefore, Housemates won a total of £200 for this week's shopping budget.

In addition, as the winner of Old Head Hot Topic, Ben won a clock and as the winner of Munchermind, Dave won a coffee machine.

As consolation, Big Brother will be providing Housemates with a TV dinner and booze tonight. However, rather than be excited by this treat, housemates are all speculating that TV Dinner is code for being live on TV; fearing that one of the nominated housemates (Shabby, Sunshine or Rachael) will be evicted tonight.
