Peter Briffa: Can Mario Win?

Yesterday Dave and JJ were having a chat, and predicting the order in which they'd be leaving tomorrow.

JJ reckoned it would be him first, Andrew next, Dave would come third, Mario second and first would be the golden girl herself, Josie. Clever chap is our JJ. He's also very shrewd. That's my order. In fact, it's probably everybody's order.

But is it really done and dusted, all over bar the shouting, for a Josie win? Ch4

That's the criteria? Mario's a weed, not deserving of a win. Then again, out of those left I can't say I'm backing any of them. Certainly not 'cos anyone is gay anyway.

I'll wave my rainbow flag for all of them, not one 100% straight in the final five. Maybe it should have been Bi Brother/Sister this year?

Big Brother 2010: Bristol blonde Josie 'firm favourite' to win in tonight's final

But first, we need to crown a winner from BB11. Who should it be?
The remaining boys are an odd assortment of dull JJ, creepy Dave and weird Mario, who has spent most of the last week flirting with Andrew, who is dull, creepy and weird. Josie, however, has consistently been funny, self-deprecating and a delight to watch – and is certainly the only one I can see holding her own in a madhouse full of pap-hungry monsters, so she's my tip to win. Also she's from Bristol, I'm from Bath and us West Country muckers have to stick together.

With all the support Josie is getting it looks like it is going to be a landslide for her.

Of course she is - there is no serious competition. None at all.

The launch of UBB - takes place after the finale, doesn't it, so checking the times, I'm guessing I should tune in to C4 by about 10pm to avoid Josie's exit and Davina's "interviews" and if Aisleyne doesn't go in, that's me watching the CSI repeats on Five USA for the next two weeks

One of them, yes. I've always supported minority HMs, particularly gay ones but also generally black women (who always do poorly). Call me PC if you like, I don't care

What if Josie declines to go back in? I mean, I know she won't, she's as much of a wannabe as those other undeserving winners, Lawler and Belo, but let's say she has a total brainwave and turns it down, what then?

So no Josie, no participant from BB11? Well, I suppose that's to be expected since it looks like series 4 gets no one either. Shoddy set up innit? Someone on DS said they could have made UBB like a CBB, say three weeks in the winter. That would have given them time to redo the house a little and have a proper show of it. Why they didn't is beyond me.
