::lol:: no not "bright" at all!! Enough children get driven to school as it is (including a child in a class I taught once who quite literally lived across the road from the school) and I imagine it would increase even more.

::lol:: ::lol:: I keep forgetting I should be in bed all day everyday really!!!

It isn't .... :-( I've applied for all sorts now in the hope that someone will take pity on me..... Apparently I'm "too experienced" translates as "too old" :-? I've actually been going to work with my other half labouring with him but he seems to forget that I'm a weedy little girly type and has me doing all the heavy lifting and difficult stuff! I'm gonna have biceps like a Russian shot putter at this rate! I wouldn't mind if I was getting paid, plus he's definitely over stepped the mark with regards sexual harassment in the workplace ;)

There is nothing better than the extra hour in bed if you have to work on the Sunday  Small pleasures...!

semi interesting news regarding daylight saving time

apologies for any anti-Daily Mail FM's, just stumbled across this
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... Scots.html

I hardly think that people are staying away from Britain because it gets dark at 4pm in November

That would be interesting. It is a valid point about children walking to school, in winter it is really just light from about 8ish til half 3ish here as it is without them mucking it about.

They experimented with this when I was at Primary School, and we were all given armbands to wear for walking to school. High visibility vests are now very cheap to buy, and they really stand out in the dark. In Donegal, where there are many windy country roads without footpaths, most people who go out walking wear them, and they are probably more visible to drivers than walkers with no such safety aids walking in day time.

I would rather have more daylight in the evening, to be honest. I hate it when the clock goes back. And I hate it even more when it has to go forward again!!! It messes with my body clock, for starters, lol.

As you say, most kids get driven to school in any case, and I think that when they are walking on pavements they are usually quite safe.

Me too, I detest it when the clocks have gone back. I feel as if I ought to hibernate until spring but of course that's not allowed. :-? I need one of those S.A.D lamps permanently strapped to me.
