BRUCE Forsyth is set for an ear bashing from co-host Tess Daly after joking about her husband’s sex text scandal. As they filmed last night’s launch show, Bruce Forsyth, 82, spotted a man texting in the audience and said: “All this texting. It’s just like being at home with Vernon.”
He was referring to Tess Daly’s husband Vernon Kay, 36, who admitted having sex text affairs with five girls earlier this year.
Tess, 41, who was backstage at the time, was furious when she found out what Bruce had said. She is set to pull him up over it before the live shows start in a few weeks.
A Strictly source said: “It would have been a lot worse if he’d said it in front of her. But it was still pretty bad that he decided to make a joke about it all.”
