Indeed.

Anyway, it's definitely certain that Alison Hammond is going into the jungle tonight, or, er, for media purposes, last night!

I think Alison's fantastic, one of the few interviewers the Hollywood A-list warm to during their billion promotional interviews.

Think there's a few big characters on the show this year(as a well as a few that aren't!). Stacey will do very well for The Daily Star because she has a good personality. Shaun's hilarious because he looks like he's just come out of a nightclub.

Hope Alison does really well because she deserves it.
Ruth Langsford couldn't eulogise enough about Alison on This Morning today, saying Alison is just the nicest person.

Kate has taken over Alison's Twitter account for the time being {@}

The Brilliant Alison in a mo'

Kate chatted to The Sun's Ally Ross about TV on Kerrang! Radio's Drivetime last night. A bit bizarre, but he did pay Kate compliments after 'Ultimate' Big Brother finished.
Ally Ross is ultra-acerbic, but writes an annoyingly clever and funny TV column. Today, no exception.
What he does best is ridicule the nonsense about people on TV thinking they're 'celebrities' even though their product might be rubbish. It does sound like Kate loves his witty, black sense of humour.
He also loves The Sopranos. Every episode as good as any quality classic film, in my opinion.

Kate and Producer Neil wondered what football club he supported after the interview. According to his column, he's a massive Aberdeen fan!

Ally Ross wrote after 'Ultimate' Big Brother was over that Kate was the 'real' winner because she has moved on from the show and its hype. In reality, no-one is the 'real' winner; they just moved in different directions. Ally Ross also included Kate in his 'TV Joy' for her appearance on Total Wipeout.

Ally Ross was slightly dismissive of Alison Hammond on IACGMOOH today, but there were more deserving contestants for his attention! He loves the brilliant Shaun.

Don't know if Alison's on the show because of This Morning pressure; she's just a nice person who may not give 'x' factor moments. Hope she survives a few evictions and just gets back to her brilliant TV job.

Maybe a discussion for a different time, but 'fame', 'celebrity', PR, and attention/profile seems to be just as important to certain TV/Radio presenters, actors, promoted z-list no-marks, talent show judges(whether they be on The X-factor or Dragon's Den) as the media/entertainment jobs they actually do.

Ally Ross's complimentary comments about Kate after 'Ultimate' Big Brother seemed to suggest that he knew Kate was a presenter on Kerrang! Radio. No doubt Kate wanted to be a bit famous after Big Brother, but 'fame' and 'celebrity' has always seemed of secondary importance to having a very good job, whether it be on radio or as a Club DJ.

Yes, very odd the Ross thing, he's been vicious about Kate, and incidentally her family, in the past. I have to say he is the funniest columnist around when he's not slagging someone I like off. Which I know makes me an hypocrite.

It could be just seen as a cynical way to get on national radio by Ross, but I'm not so sure of that, after all he has a column in the most read daily 'paper in the world. I also quite like that he tries not to appear on shows like BBLB anymore, because he felt compromised to be positive towards shows that way, (if only Grace Dent had done the same) so he's no fame-whore.

Ally has recently tried to be a radio presenter on ill-fated Suntalk, I think, so maybe he just realises how hard a job it is. Also kate wrote for the Sun for awhile, so maybe they have mutual friends.

Not watching Alison myself, I'm very over Reality TV, and even though I was gutted when she was voted out of BB3, it was more because of the people who stayed in, she can irritate me a little. Glad for her success though, she's had a decent career, and is a nice person. The public did indeed "see the truth" {@}

Anyway I notice Lukey Wilkins seems to have been taken off the DJs list at Kerrang, shame......

But the point is, Alison Hammond has had the best TV career of any Big Brother Housemate, by far, and I don't understand why Alison needs IACGMOOH, unless This Morning is involved.

Shaun Ryder got some stick at the weekend from the sunday tabloids because of his 'rock 'n' roll' lifestyle', but middle-class, rock wannabes like Alex James from Blur never get any criticism(apart from David Walliams) for their, er, rock 'n' roll lifestyle.

Alison left last night and seemed glad to go!
I think Alison was a strange booking in a way because she's one of the few IACGMOOH contestants who's career hasn't stalled. But Alison is the kind of person ideally suited to mainstream Daytime TV - a career that has gone very very well.
Alison is also respected and loved by her peers - something emphazised by people like Ruth Langsford and Chris Biggins when she entered the jungle.

Shaun is the entertainment, maybe edited carefully to be so, but looked to be a bit intimidated by Alison as the last celebrity to arrive.

Stacey's got the personality to win and is perfect for celebrity promotion, but I'm enjoying Jenny and Dom.

Alison's loud personality rubbed a few of the camp mates up the wrong way, she said as much herself last night.

I was delighted to hear her speak the truth about the obnoxious Shaun, he is a boring overbearing potty mouthed has been, and no way should he be even in the running for the crown.

Stacey and Jenny are the only two deserving of the crown, imo. {@}

Hi Madeline, think you're right about the effect Alison's personality had on the campmates. I mean, most of them don't actually have a 'career'.
I think you have to take Shaun for what he is, someone who's produced some great stuff in his music career - and utter cr@p - but an honest and entertaining curmudgeon. He is the anti -IACGMOOH contestant.

I wouldn't choose him in a billion years over the brilliant TV presenter, Alison, but he's served a purpose on this series, like Gillian!

Stacey will probably win for The Daily Star Group, and Shaun's in with a shout. I'd like to see Jenny win, but she probably won't.

I just think Shaun was intimidated by Alison. She was, after all, the only person on the show who's career hasn't stalled and had no reason to be there. Respect to Olympic Champion , Linford, of course.

Nice exchange between Alison and Kate on twitter. ()^

Jenny to win, though I doubt it!

I think Stacey and Jenny are the only two who deserve to win, I would like Stacey to win over Jenny [who I like] because Stacey has not been so up Dom and Nigel's arse. Shaun is being favored by the ITV2 show crew and Ant and Dec also seem to not like it when an evictee say they want Stacey to win, imo.
It says how sneaky Shaun is when we hear Alison give her opinion on him after she left and found out how much he didn't like her. He was only gobby with Gillian because he saw how the rest of the camp mates felt about her.

Yeah, but Jenny and Dom are part of the comedy circuit, so Jenny's allegiance to Dom is understandable.
Stacey's been really good, has 'personality', but she was booked only because of interest from The Daily Star Group since she lost X-Factor last year. Thankfully, something I never pay attention to, though reluctantly know all about because of the hype in tabloids/Daily Star Magazine front covers.

Just an aside, but how many times have Cheryl Cole and Jordan slipped into 'meltdown?' in seleb magazines?? :-?

At least Kate Lawler just gets on with her career!

I think it is their grumpy age that is keeping them united and Dom is an individual who would not feel any allegiance to Jenny or any other person as far as I have seen, so far.
I have never watched the X Factor [there is only so much manipulation I am willing to take :oops: ] so I only know Stacey from IAC and I have to say for one so young she can hold her own, she seems to be liked by a lot of her fellow campers/viewers, and she like all the others wants to win. I hope she does.

Nice stuff going on for local charidees all across Kerrang this xmas, all good.

I don't enjoy the show as much without Fearnie, as it's been this week.

Kate voted fifth best DJ in the Kerrang Magazine poll apparently, which is surprising, I thought. Very good though :clap:

Blimey, a great result in The Kerrang! Magazine, especially as Kate is a 'personality' DJ on Drivetime.
Never liked the term 'personality' DJ - I mean, Chris Evans is one and I wouldn't listen to that ego-maniac bore for more than five seconds.
Kate isn't so pretentious to pretend she's a 'Rock' DJ, a la Annie Nightingale - Danielle Perry's more in that bracket - but Kate is well-liked by bands and legendary musicians who've appeard on her show.

Kate said Producer Neil has been off sick, adding last night that he's back today.
Should be a great buzz around Kerrang! Radio today because it's their Xmas party today featuring the likes of Feeder and The Futureheads at a venue in Brum.
