Billy Connolly has vowed to appear in next year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ if his wife Pamela Stephenson wins the show.The 68-year-old comedy legend is encouraging Pamela to put everything into her last dance, and reportedly believes he could do well on the BBC One series next year.
An insider explained: "He is amazed at her transformation and is keen to get in on the action. She's lost two stone and gone from being a professional psychologist to a sizzling salsa sexpot - and he loves it!”
Pamela – who is partnered with professional dancer James Jordan – already looks as though her prospects of winning are good after receiving straight 10s from the judges on two consecutive weeks.
Judge Craig Revel Horwood told the pair: "One word, three syllables, starts with f. Fabulous!"
In order to emulate the success of his wife, Billy is keen to be partnered with James' wife Ola in the 2011 celebrity dance contest.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: "Billy thinks the Jordans are lovely. If he were partnered with Ola it would be just great. It would be fun rather than hard work for him."
Pamela – who is Strictly's oldest-ever finalist – recently admitted she would love to tango with her spouse, who would be "brilliant" at the saucy dance.
She said: "It's very romantic and passionate and I think he'd be just brilliant at it. I can see him now with the slicked-back hair and the black and white shoes."
