Caught the last few hours of the show last night and Kate chatted to The Sun's Ally Ross again for his TV comments. His comments regarding the appalling New Direction on X-Factor were really funny!
Bizarre that Kate and Ally Ross talk, but still funny.
Ally Ross is still massively into The Apprentice. It's still the best 'reality' TV programme on the box, even though it has to compete this time of year with The X-Factor, IACGMOOH and Strictly Come Dancing.
The Apprentice has been hyped in recent years in the tabloids and moved to BBC1 but The Sugar, at the very least, resisted the hype of the Big Brother route and didn't show the relationships between the contestants in the house they share.
Ally Ross said to Kate last night that Alan Sugar told him, 'not to worry about Stuart Baggs!', which does suggest that Stuart has a chance winning. Personally, I'd like to see Stella or Jo triumph. We'll see how the interviews go tomorrow.
Kate asked whether Ally knew Alan Sugar? Ally Ross replied, tongue-in-cheek, that Alan Sugar was his only 'celebrity' friend apart from Kate Lawler! Very funny. Those two have good banter and probably share a similar view of the dreadful 'celebrity' promotion that goes on.
Ally Ross has signed off from The Sun for a few weeks till his post Christmas TV review, but left this in his column today:
"Isn't it lovely, though, that amid all the rampant commercialism and self-indulence one television channel has remembered the true meaning of Christmas Day - ITV2, 7pm, The Only Way Is Essex: Totally Vajazzled.
Merry Christmas."
Yep. Expect to see the 'stars' of said show promoted in all the seleb magazines in the next few months, with Jack Tweed as their patron saint.
