TORCHWOOD star John Barrowman is the hot favourite to take over the main Strictly Come Dancing presenting role from Bruce Forsyth when he finally hangs up his tuxedo.
Show insiders say the Scottish-born song and dance man, who earlier this year starred in Desperate Housewives, is “top of the list” to take over from Brucie.
A previous frontrunner for the plum job was professional dancer Anton Du Beke, who is currently paired with Ann Widdecombe.
Barrowman has also confirmed that he will take part in the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.
He is one of the first names to be unveiled for the BBC One show in December.
The Christmas Strictly will feature a new cast of celebrities, who will be filmed over a two-week period.
