No More Big Brother For Davina

Davina McCall says that she has said goodbye to Big Brother and presenting the show again would be like stepping back in time.

The host of Sky1's Got To Dance said: "It would be very difficult for me to step back in time. I spent a year saying goodbye and I feel like I've emotionally said goodbye."

The Channel 4 reality show has been rumoured to return to our screens on Channel Five or Sky. Ex-contestant Brian Dowling has said he would love to present Big Brother if Five bought the show.

McCall said: "In January I'll be absolutely manic with Got To Dance. And as for May, we're going away for the whole of the summer holidays with the kids."

If Ch5 do take BB on then I would like to see a different format - not too different mind - and some new presenters.

Brian Dowling should be in with a shot, with some other well known ex housemates maybe getting a chance as well.

I do like Brian, but he is a complete tosh presenter. He would make for a good comedy side kick on the show but you need a less self involved presenter to keep the show glued and on track.

I expect Davina wanted too much money for the gig, just like Carol from countdown did when that show revamped. Its got to be remembered that mostly Davina only ever worked on Friday nights, she had the best gig on TV through the summer leaving the hard work back then to Dermots daily show.
