The contestants have been revealed for ITV1's Dancing On Ice, which starts on January 9.

They are...

Former Atomic Kitten singer – Kerry Katona

Former Coronation Street actor – Steven Arnold

TV presenter – Jeff Brazier

Former Neighbours actor – Craig McLachlan

Former newsreader – Angela Rippon

Cricketer – Dominic Cork

Radio presenter – David Vitty (Comedy Dave from Chris Moyles’s Radio 1 show)

American rapper – Vanilla Ice

Actress – Nadia Sawalha

Richard and Judy’s daughter – Chloe Madeley

Loose Women presenter – Denise Welch

Hollyoaks actress – Jennifer Metcalfe

Former EastEnders actor – Sam Attwater

Nickelodeon presenter – Laura Hamilton

Frank Lampard’s ex - Elen Rives

Iraq war hero – Lance Corporal Johnson Beharry

This year, in a new twist, four celebrities will be voted off before they even get the chance to compete, leaving only twelve in the competition stage.

Emma Bunton, Jason Gardiner and Robin Cousins will return as judges, while Karen Barber will now act as head coach to the contestants.

I thought Karen was already head coach ?

She is, was, no explanation yet as to why she is not one of the judges next year.

The one missing is Nicky who told them a couple of monthes back that he wasn't returning for the new show so the Judges are down to 4.

I haven't heard why Nicky chose not to return ,though I haven't gone looking.

Ice Contestants Try On Their Sequins

This year's 16 Dancing On Ice celebrity contestants have donned their sequins ahead of the first show.

The line-up will be whittled down to just 12 competitors in two special programmes before the competition proper kicks off.

Appearing in the series are Chloe Madeley, daughter of Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, presenter Angela Rippon, and actress Nadia Sawalha.

Former pop star Kerry Katona has also been in training for the programme along with Coronation Street actor Steven Arnold, rapper Vanilla Ice and presenter Jeff Brazier.

Former Neighbours actor Craig McLachlan, Radio 1 presenter Dave Vitty, actress Denise Welch, cricketer Dominic Cork, model Elen Rives, Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe, Victoria Cross hero Johnson Beharry, presenter Laura Hamilton and actor Sam Attwater will also be hoping to make it past the two knock-out rounds, which are in the hands of the viewers.

This series, judge Karen Barber will be head coach, leaving Spice Girl Emma Bunton, choreographer Jason Gardiner and former figure skater Robin Cousins on the panel. Nicky Slater will not be replaced.
