Record 10.7m watch Tom Pellereau winThe Apprentice, BBC1, 9pm: He might have had the worst record of any of the final four in The Apprentice, but not only was inventor Tom Pellereau hired by Lord Sugar, he also helped the show to record ratings.
Last night's final of the business reality show's seventh series averaged 9.1 million viewers, a 36.3% share between 9pm and 11pm on BBC1.
It attracted a record 15-minute peak of 10.5 million viewers between 9.45pm and 10pm, and a five-minute peak of 10.7 million just as Sugar told Pellereau: "You're hired!"
The seventh series final beat the 8.6 million average (32.7%) who watched Stella English win the sixth series in December last year, and the 8.8 million who watched the final of the fifth series in June 2009.
On Sunday the first hour of the final attracted 9.9 million viewers, a 35.8% share, before segueing into an hour-long You're Hired!, which drew 8.3 million viewers, a 37.1% share.
The first hour of the show also beat the comparable first hours of the last two finals, which pulled in 9.5 million (32.8%) and 9.8 million (37.9%) respectively.
