Day 34
9:33amYesterday housemates completed a task to try to win a luxury shopping budget. Four housemates sabotaged the task. Tom is anxious to receive the shopping list. “Do you want to get your hair done girl?” Anton asks Alex. She tells him that it does need to be done and worries how it looks. “It’s not atrocious,” Tom reassures her. Aden has come to the diary room. “I’ve had a week of eating bread, ketchup and frosted flakes. Four people have f**ked it up for everyone else,” he derides. Aden mentions the divide amongst the housemates and says that he doesn’t want to “communicate” with Aaron. “He led the others astray and was so sarcastic about it,” he says.
9:58amAaron, Harry and Tom talk about Anton’s role in his decision to sabotage yesterday’s task and says that Anton did it to “annoy” him. “He’ll struggle to walk today,” he adds, referring to Anton climbing 1344 steps during the task. Anton is lying in bed talking to Jay about Aaron and Faye and says that people are “getting to him,” in the house. Jay says that last week Aaron “didn’t know if Faye was his girlfriend,” so can’t understand how they are now in a relationship. Anton says that the pair will be “front page new on every paper,” and Jay speculates as to whether Aaron and Faye’s relationship will last longer than a few weeks once they leave the house.
11:34amHousemates have been gathered on the sofa for the results of this week’s shopping task. Big Brother announces that Louise, Tom and Anton each saved a housemate and has therefore won a luxury shopping budget. Housemates give a tentative cheer and Big Brother continues. Big Brother relays the rule break (‘stranded’ Housemates broke out of the Task Room) and announces that housemates will now receive an economy shopping budget. Aden and Anton repeatedly sing, “D**khead crew,” and Jay grumbles: “Next week I’m not doing a task, they can f**k off.” Aaron tells them that they walked out following Anton’s tactics. Anton remarks: “You’re being selfish now so f**k off!” adding: “Do you think everyone here is on your side now?”
12:21pmHousemates can’t get food off their minds. Alex tells them that she fancies “a dippy egg.” Harry asks her what sauces they have at McDonald’s and Alex runs through the list. Jay is worried about the bust up between Aaron and Anton. He says that he doesn’t want Anton to go adding: “Something like this could knock him.” In the bedroom, Anton tells Aden “I’m going on Friday, one hundred percent.” Aaron has come to the diary room to clear his name and says that the “nasty, bullying situation has backfired.” He questions what some of his housemates could have planned for him next week. “It doesn’t give me pleasure” not having food he says, then adds that the housemates have always been looked after: “It’s not as if we’ve worked for 15 hours, we’ve sat around, we’ve lived the dream.”
1:27pmEarlier this week some of the housemates decided to buy Alex some hair extensions from the shopping list. Aden is in the bedroom looking through the list and says that he would be happy to put money into buying hair for Alex. Jay suggests that housemates do a group buy and Aden tells him that everyone is “buying their own.” Some of the housemates are in the kitchen. Alex tells them that she isn’t bothered about the hair: “I’d rather the house have food for this week,” she stresses. “It’s our choice,” Harry tells her and Aaron says that if they want to spend their budget on her then they will.”
2:21pmIt’s been 31 minutes since Alex found out that housemates wanted to spend 30 pounds of the budget on her hair extensions. Alex is standing alone in the bedroom. Jem, Faye and Louise join her. “Are you feeling a bit overwhelmed,” Jem asks her and Alex nods and cries happy tears. They all share a group hug. Anton is in the diary room running through the shopping list. He queries Alex’s extensions and asks Big Brother: “Will it be human hair; I don’t have a clue about these things?” Big Bother tells him that it will be. Jay and Louise are in the living area. He tells her that his only worry is if Anton buys the wrong “baccy.”
3:21pmFriday evening is looming and despite feeling low, Alex is trying to stay positive. Anton is moaning and Alex berates him adding: “All this negative stuff is in your head.” Anton lies on the sofas repeating: “Evict me, evict me.” Aaron and Faye have come to the diary room. Faye tells Big Brother that they’ve decided: “We do like each other.” Big Brother asks if they are now “Officially boyfriend and girlfriend” and tells them to give five reasons as to why they like each other. Among Aaron’s answers are: “Pretty, funny, you like me which is always a plus point and you’re cute when you think you’re being intelligent.” Faye takes umbrage and Aaron refers to her saying “post-it stamp,” instead of “postage stamp.” Faye laughs and tries to explain her reasons. She then lists her reasons for liking Aaron including: “Thoughtful, you’re a hot geek, intelligent and you’re cute when you sleep.” They discuss their favourite flavour of squash and Faye says she likes blackcurrant or orange. Aaron says he likes lemon. “We’re not off to a good start the cracks are appearing,” Faye quips.
5:24pmLouise, Alex and Tom are in bed and Jem brings them some toast. “You do treat us well” Tom smiles and Jem leaves. Alex tells them: “Imagine you’re eating chicken nuggets,” then closes her eyes while eating her toast. “It’s not working,” Louise says. Tom adds: “I don’t remember what other food tastes like.” Jay is in the diary room talking to Big Brother about the other housemates. He says that he is “p****ed off with people” in the house and brands Faye and Aaron’s relationship as “fake.” He says that he doesn’t like the way that Aaron and Anton’s argument has affected the house and says that they should all “pull together.” Jay compares the house to a ship with a hole in it, “and the love is leaking out.”
6:07pmAlthough there is no food in the house, Harry has found the energy to do workout in the garden. In the bedroom, Aaron and Jay can’t muster the energy to join him.
Anton comments that he doesn’t even have the energy to “punch the walls.” Jay says that although they have no food he must avoid “confrontation,” adding: “I’d
say something I’d get f**ked for.” He adds: “I’d smash something or someone,” and says that he promised his mum he wouldn’t “kick off” in the house. Anton promises to look out for Jay and keep him calm.
Big Brother announces that the store room is open for housemates to collect their shopping. All of the housemates rush to check the room. Alex is pleased with her hair extensions and heads off to the bedroom. Jay gets his tobacco and goes straight into the garden with Aden for a smoke. Alex is at the bedroom mirrors clipping in her hair extensions. Faye joins her and asks if she is happy with her hair. Alex nods and Faye tells her: “Your hair looks amazing, you look gorgeous” and they hug.
In the garden Jay relays his dairy room chat to Aden and says that they need to get house “back to normal.” Aden agrees and says they need to “band together.” Harry joins the conversation and says that “two individual” housemates are the “problem,” and Jay asks Harry if he thinks it would be a good idea to address the house and resolve it. Harry says it would be, and Jay tells him that his is “fed up with Aaron and Anton bickering.” He says that the warring pair are making the other housemates miserable.
7:16pmAnton is lying in bed looking miserable. Alex is putting the finishing touches to her glamour girl look. Tom joins her and asks: “Have I met you before?” Alex is happy and hugs him. In the bathroom Aden informs some of his fellow housemates that he is going to “call a house meeting” to sort out the divide. A short while later Aden tells housemates that they need to “break down barriers” to clear the division in the house. Anton is asleep in the bedroom, Aaron is in the kitchen and Harry is in the bath. A short while later in the kitchen, Aden informs housemates that from now on, if anyone has a problem they should sort out harmoniously and speak to each other in a “civil” way. After the speech Jay says that Aden was speaking to the “wrong people,” as the housemates it was aimed at were not all present.
Aaron joins Harry in the bathroom and relays Aden’s speech. “He was involved in most of the arguments anyway,” Aaron quips. He adds that last night Aden said that he wasn’t going to speak to Louise anymore, following her nominating him. In the bedroom Aden tells Anton about addressing the group. Anton remarks: “It doesn’t change the fact they were selfish, and they haven’t even apologized.”
8:51pmFaye and Jem are in the living room and Faye tells her sister that she wants to continue her relationship with Aaron once they leave the house. “I really like him,” she says but doesn’t want to look “stupid” by saying it in the house and then nothing happening after they leave. Jem tells Faye that she should take what Aaron says in the house as truthful and says that she realises Faye really likes Aaron by how playful she is with him.
Alex and Tom have decided to have some fun. They plan a treasure hunt and Alex says they should use Jay coloured socks. They enter kitchen and tell housemates to go into the bedroom while they hide socks around the house. When they’ve hidden the socks Alex tells housemates that there are 13 socks hidden throughout the house. Housemate Louise, Aden, Jen and Faye quickly search the house.
A short while later Tom declares that Aden is the champion having found 5 socks. Tom and Alex have come to the dairy room. Big Brother is impressed by Tom and Alex’s efforts to lighten the mood in the house and asks them if they would like a treat. Tom and Alex are excited and say that they would. Big Brother plays the Macarena into the diary room and Alex and Tom jump up and sing while doing the choreographed moves.
9:39pmAlex and Tom have been dancing non-stop for 44 minutes. They have performed the Macarena 16 times. In the diary room the music stops and the pair sit down. The music starts again and they resume their dance.
In the kitchen, Aaron is digging himself a hole while talking to Faye and Jem about his first impressions of her Faye. She reminds him that her body was in good shape. Aaron says that Faye’s looks don’t matter to him anymore “You could look like Aden,” he adds. Faye takes offence and Aaron adds: “The fact that you’re hot is a bonus,” but looks “don’t matter” to him. Faye says that makes her feel as if she looks “hideous” and Faye and Jem walk off. Aaron asks Harry: “What have I done wrong?”
In the living room, Aaron tries to win Faye over but she and Jem ignore him. He joins them on the sofa and starts kissing Faye while holding her down. She giggles while squirming and tells him to stop. “My sisters a respectable woman,” Jem declares. Aaron quips “Didn’t know you had another sister,” then walks away smiling.
10:51pmLouise has volunteered to cut Jay’s hair and sets to work in the bathroom. When she is finished, Jay surveys the result and decides to shave it all off. Louise thinks that he shouldn’t do it and tells him to have it done professionally. Tom and Alex have been dancing to the Macarena for 1 hour and 56 minutes; the song has been played 28 times. The song finishes and Tom and Alex finish dancing, and tell Big Brother that they have had “a really good treat.” Tom beams: “That’s the best 90s choreographed song ever!”
In the living room Harry and Aaron are studying the housemate portraits. Harry ponders: “Imagine the board with only five people left.” Aaron remarks: “It’s weird that so many are lit up, it’s very colourful,” and adds that this is “make or break week.” Harry jokingly congratulates Aaron on his “clever plan” to start a relationship with Faye: “If it goes to plan, you’ve cracked it.” Aaron confesses: “I do like her.” “I know, that’s what worries me,” Harry quips.

I am liking his double act with Brian, all the double acts are funny and Lizzie Cundy is game for a laugh it seems.
